These people are very reasonable people. All their drinks are set at one size, but it gets different by what type of drink, how many toppings you add, and special requests like "less ice" or "extra ice". I usually get iced TBS (Toasted Brown Sugar, it's all over their menu LOL) caffe latte with TBS (yes, again) infused boba. Their iced caffe latte is espresso double shots at default. And they serve it on a 20 oz. cup. But when I ordered it with single shot, I got it on a smaller cup. I really didn't mind on smaller cup size but just had to ask, and they told me that as they try to keep the ice level at 20% of the drinks, the cup size varies from the modifications. I walked away with finding something new, and I came back the very next day to prove it! (wicked side of me came out LOL) I ordered iced TBS caffe latte with triple shot! (because according to the staff, that's one of the options to up the cup size to the next size) with TBS infused boba. And Yay! I got the 24 oz. cup. not the usual 20 oz. cup. From there, I kinda started to get the idea on how these people are doing their business and being fair. If I get a double boba, and if they try to fit that into the same cup as no boba drink, then they would compromise amount of my drink! And I am Gluten sensitive and I figured that this place sells Vegan & GF Taiyaki! They sell it under Boongeo-Pang, but it's all same I believe. Taiyaki is Japanese and Boongeopang is Korean. Just had to wait 5 mins in the cute little cozy waiting area next to the pick up window. Then, BOOM!, freshly baked fish shaped pastry with their house-made red bean paste gets ready. But only thing I didn't like was the red bean paste having a hint...
Read moreThis cute little Boba restaurant in the corner of the Greenland Market's food court located on Spring Mountain and Rainbow Blvd. Sorry I didn't get pictures of the Boba it was that good that I got distracted. I had the honeydew melon blended with Boba. I love anything cold and slushie! The honeydew melon wasn't too sweet and they were not chincy on the Boba. My two daughters had Macha green tea with Boba and lavender with Boba. I had a little taste of the Macha and it was really good not overpowering and not gritty. I didn't get to taste the lavender just the fact that I didn't want to mix up all the different flavors. But she said it taste like light lavender milk tea. The people there are always nice and friendly and always make excellent suggestions. Just as we were leaving I decided to get taiyaki. Taiyaki is Japanese waffle like desert that is shaped like a fish that has filling inside. I just the red bean paste with mochi. It was hot and fresh! They make it to order. The outside had just a little crispness with a little sweetness of waffle and when you take that fist bite you know that warm yummy goodness. It's best eaten hot but it's also good at room temperature too. Have to go back and try the chocolate lava Taiyaki next... Or maybe the 4 blend cheese...
Read moreWe were immediately greeted by the staff and they were really polite, but I'm sorry to say that that is the only positive thing I can say about this place.
Immediately I was dissappointed that there was a huge menu of their slushes which I had seen on Yelp, because I love my slushes with Boba, as that's the only thing I get. However they did say they could make anything into a slush except there was very little variety and flavors to choose from!
I ended up getting the Green Tea Mango with Boba, and man... I was really unsatisfied! First off, the main thing I really did not like about the drink was the Boba! It was really undercooked and inconsistent, and the texture was just way off. Most of the Boba was kind of hard and firm, and not chewy at all. I also have to mention that the Boba was super bland as well!
The drink itself was okay, it just had a really overpowering green tea flavor and so I couldn't really taste the mango as well as I would appreciate. Overall the drink was subpar. I wasn't in the mood to finish the drink either. It was just super...
