DO NOT TRADE IN YOUR PHONE WITH ANY OF THE AUTHORIZED RETAILER STORE. The promotion is different than the AT&T corporate stores. You will be forced to use the credit on overpriced generic brand accessories in store only, while if you traded in with AT&T corporate stores, you can use that credit to pay the bill or shop at AT&T website for way more useful items.
Here is my story:
I was interested in getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 for my parents and I saw there was a $300 trade-in promotion going on for the new Galaxy devices at the AT&T website, the promotion states that the trade-in credit is good towards new accessories, tablets or devices or to pay the AT&T bill. So I went into this store and traded in my old phones to get the trade-in credit. The salesperson told me that the credit is only good for in-store inventory at that specific location. If I don’t spend all of the credit on that day, I will have to wait for 10 business days to get the credit through e-mail, and then I will have to go back to that store and spend the rest. I asked if I can use it on a Google Home, the manager said they are not going to get any in store, even there was one being displayed. I asked if they have any VR headset, the manager gave me the same answer. I asked if they have the 2017 Samsung Convertible Charging Stand, they told me there isn’t such thing, they gave me the old model saying that was the latest one by Samsung. So I ended up a phone case, a screen protector, and a charging dock. I asked if these are good for exchange or refund, the salesperson told me I can return them within 14 days. Later in the same day, I went back to the store and tried to return those 3 items as my parents had already got their own accessories without telling me. There were 5 employees at the store, 4 of them are chatting and 1 was severing another customer. I told them I want to return the items, and I stood in the store and waited for almost 10 minutes while those 4 employees are still chatting and laughing to each other. Then the manager said this to me, “Was those the items you got from trading in the $20 phone? That was a steal already. I would just pay you back $20 and you give me those accessories” I gave him a smile and ignored him. The salesperson finally came by and help me with the return, I told him the reason for returning, and he asked me why not I just keep those 3 items, and have my parents to return theirs. I gave him a smile and ignored that as well. He then started the return process, but he told me that the screen protector is not refundable, even it is sealed. I ended up returning the other 2 items and leave the store.
The employees in this store didn’t even bother to help me check the inventory at the other store and lied to the me that those credit can only be used at this specific location, but the truth is, it can be used at any other authorized retailer store. Overall, the customer service are bad. They had me wait for almost 10 minutes while 4 of their man were chatting and laughing to each other. Most importantly, I am not sure what the intention of the Manager’s saying was. I didn’t find the joke funny, but it made me feel like I was taking advantages of their store with a trade-in that I should just keep my free items and leave. A promotion is a promotion. It is offered by the company and it is not like I am trying to steal from them. I'm actually offended by his words. I don’t understand the reason for a sealed product is not refundable. I bought that on 12pm and tried to return it at 5pm on the same day in completely brand new condition. If it is non-refundable, the salesperson should have told me that when I asked. However, he gave me false information instead.
Once again, it was a terrible experience with these authorized retailer stores, especially this location. I will not recommend anyone to purchase through any of the authorized retailer stores as the policy doesn’t match the AT&T...
Read moreI really lucked out coming to this store. After a bad night in Las Vegas and being treated like trash inside of a major casino and phone stolen. I came to this location and a gentleman named Junior was so helpful i explained everything that happened and he gave me every option available and went above and beyond to get me out the store with a phone. Unfortunately at the time my best option was to hopefully find a at&t phone but after hours of looking no success. I returned to the same place and really drove across town, passing several at&t stores on the way, because of the way i was treated earlier that morning. Walking in i was approached by the same gentleman with excellent customer service, he immediately got things moving fast, but once again i was faced with options on my own behalf and left for the 2nd time with no phone. I was parked outside trying to hook up my son's tablet to the cars wifi to have some type of communication after my phone was stolen, the gentleman Junior that helped me so much ran outside to tell me 1 last option, and it was that last option I walked out the store with a new phone. I found out later my situation was explained to the store manager and he was helpful with my situation. Both of these gentlemen treated me with MORE RESPECT, and so helpful with options and advice I couldn't of found a better store. My entire review wasn't put up here to help the store or these gentlemen, I put this review up here because everything I said is 100% facts,and these gentlemen took care of business and treated me like a king. I appreciated this store and guys more than these words say. Having your phone stolen and being treated like a criminal is a bad feeling, I couldn't have walked into a better store at the time of feeling like my life was over cause of somebody stealing my phone. Read moreRidiculous unless it's a really simple transaction maybe if you get lucky. Spend a hour and a half every time I go with a issue with my phone. Not just this location either every location. This time I got bad information from the phone rep gave me a new phone number and said "just go to the store and they will be able to connect it to your S8+" NOT I HAD TO WAIT FOR THE SIM CARD TO COME IN THE MAIL 10 DAYS STILL WAITING. REP IN THE STORE SAID THE PHONE REP MADE IT UNABLE TO BE DONE AND HE NEEDED THE SIM CARD FROM THE PHONE REP. CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SAID WE DO NOT OVERNIGHT OR EXPEDITE "IT HAS TO GO THROUGH THE PROTOCOL" 10 DAYS LATER NO CARD MAYBE TODAY? I been with at&t for 16 years and your just a number. On top of that store rep said only way he could get me a number like I wanted to be done the same day "was to cancel out the transaction and start all over again. He was not very enthusiastic about that and after a hour and 45 minutes I left. I Figured that would screw my bill up for sure then I would be back in the phone talking to another rep for more aggravation. Not trying to be a critic or judgmental but VERY POOR TRAINING, COMMUNICATION, AND PEOPLE SKILLS.
