Edit August 24, 2023:
We were in here the other day and no gas leak smell! Plus all the employees were smiling and totally on top of their game and all the food was fresh. Yay! Upgrading my review to 5 stars!
(I mentioned the gas leak to the manager who was on duty a few days back (tall African American guy), and I think he called the gas company and had them take care of it. Woot! Hopefully it’s safer and everyone feels better in there now.)
Edit August 15, 2023:
I’ve been trying to figure out what the deal is with this Chipotle. Why does a brand new Chipotle with really nice employees who are trying really hard have low reviews? And why were they rushing so much that they gave us undercooked black beans once?
Today I realized today 2 things that might help explain the problems they’re having:
I would imagine that would be a lot harder from a business perspective to manage both of those things at the same time when you’re just opening and handling all the online orders that happen in all modern restaurants. Hopefully they will figure out a system for this that works for them and this part will get easier with time.
It smells like gas when I walk in there and I smelled it a couple of times including tonight right when I walked in. That’s probably what’s making the air feel heavy. And that would make people a little more spaced out and slow and cause them to make more mistakes if they’re breathing in the gas from even a really little gas leak.
If I were working there, I would ask my manager to call the gas company to just have them check and make sure because sealing up even a small gas leak or tightening up whatever gas pipe connection somewhere could help everyone feel better and do better.
I hope this helps the management here get things sorted out! I think the employees are really have high potential and the location and cleanliness of this Chipotle at this location is unmatched by any other in town. You can do it!🙂
Edit to say that this location gave us undercooked beans the day I wrote this review, we just didn't know it yet.
This location needs to slow down a little bit. I know people complained when they ran out of items, but it's better to run out and say "it's a 2 minute wait if you want black beans" than to give someone food poisoning by rushing and undercooking them.
This is a very popular location, so just own it!
"I'm sorry you have to wait 2 minutes for black beans. Look around at how busy we are. We're going as fast as we can. We don't want to rush cooking more black beans and make you sick, so you can either wait or choose the pinto beans this time."
I still like this location because this is the only time we've had an issue and we've been here several times. I think the team will pull through. They are obviously trying really hard. Just slow down and let people wait a little bit if you have to. It's hard being so in demand!

From the moment I walked through the door, Vector's energy, positivity, and professionalism set the tone for an incredible dining experience.
First and foremost, his customer service skills were outstanding. He greeted every customer with a genuine smile and took the time to ensure everyone felt welcome. It wasn’t just the usual pleasantries—Vector went out of his way to engage with customers, making us feel valued and appreciated. It was clear that he takes immense pride in his work and genuinely enjoys serving others.
When it came to building my bowl, Vector’s attention to detail was impeccable. He ensured that each ingredient was portioned perfectly. It might seem like a small thing, but his care and precision made a huge difference in the overall quality of my meal. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines speed with such attentiveness, and Vector nailed it effortlessly.
What truly stood out, however, was Vector's ability to manage a busy line with efficiency while maintaining such high levels of service. Even as the line grew longer, he remained calm, focused, and friendly. You could see him working seamlessly with his coworkers, offering help wherever it was needed. It’s clear that Vector is not just an exceptional employee but also a team player who lifts the entire atmosphere around him.
Chipotle is lucky to have someone like Vector on their team. He embodies everything a customer hopes for in an employee—professionalism, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to providing excellent service. His efforts did not go unnoticed, and I sincerely believe he deserves recognition for the incredible work he does.
If there’s any justice in the world, Vector deserves a raise, a promotion, or both. Employees like him are the heart and soul of any establishment, and his dedication is the reason customers like me will keep coming back. Thank...

It’s like employees just walk around there aimlessly and they don’t keep track of what they’re about to be out of before people get there. You waste your entire lunch break to go to this location this is the second time that this has happened to me. I left. I didn’t order anything because I’m not gonna just get whatever they have. This is a continuation of my original review. It just got even worse:
Subject: Ongoing Issues at Chipotle – 8620 Sunset Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89148
Dear Chipotle Customer Service,
I’m writing to express my ongoing frustration with the Chipotle location at 8620 Sunset Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89148. As someone who frequently visits this location for lunch, I’ve given it multiple chances—but time and again, I’ve been let down.
Nearly every visit, there’s an issue—whether they are out of key ingredients or the staff is indifferent and unapologetic. There is a noticeable lack of care for the customer experience. The team seems disconnected, operating without a sense of urgency or accountability.
While the manager appears to be the only one trying to hold things together, the rest of the staff does not seem to share that same commitment. There’s no sense of teamwork, and the customer is clearly not the priority.
Colleagues my brokerage firm have stopped going to this location altogether because these problems are so consistent. A quick look at the Yelp reviews shows that this isn’t just my personal experience—it’s a pattern.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously. This location continues to fall short of the standard we’ve come to expect from Chipotle.
You’ve ruined my lunch on 5 separate...
