We entered the eatery at 9:21 am and there was no wait. We get seated immediately and the host explains the holiday menu. Our server will be with us shortly. 7 min later no server. We're sitting at the booth next to the patio. Every time a server goes out to the patio, the door slams and shakes the table. After about 12 slams my wife goes outside to see if we can move out there. While she's out looking to see if tables are available our server Majorie finally stops by and asks me if we are moving before she gets started. My wife comes back in. I messed up and elected to take the door slamming option over outside. Marjorie says okay then leaves. 1 min later another server comes by and says I'm Tristan I'll be your server. His demeanor has already put us into a better experience. He took our full order noting the GF allergy and was ready to send the order into the kitchen. As he's wrapping up Marjorie returns. In front of all of us she states “That's my table.” They begin to have a discussion in front of us about who is going to take the table. He finally concedes and gives her the table back. I messed up again and should have said "Snooze" 😴 you lose and make him stay. After she regained the table everything continued to go downhill. She had us repeat the whole order again so she could ring it in her device. She was not confident about the GF batter ingredients and said she will check with the kitchen and never returned. ⏩ 20 minutes later. Celeste the MOD comes to the table and says "We have to make a new GF batter for your pancakes" Note she was aware of the situation and should be attentive until we're satisfied or make sure the server is paying attention. 9:56 am food finally hits the table. The blueberry pancakes looked huge. Butter was hard with minimal syrup (See picture). My wife asks the server, "Do you have any more syrup?" Marjorie gives a full explanation about how they use the finest ingredients so they conserve. She said she would ring it up for accountability purposes. It will show up on the ticket but not charge us for a second container. All she had to say was for your inconvenience of how long the food took I will get that out immediately. She never came back to the table to see how the meal was coming along or submitted the extra syrup request. I ate half my food and it was okay at best. If I had to choose, the pineapple upside down pancake was the best out of the three. In total they tasted like a bunch of toppings covering basic pancakes. I could have experienced that at IHOP or Denny's. The bacon was chewy with a bunch of syrup. At Lazy Dog they execute bacon candy recipe to perfection every time. This version was not satisfying at all. Anywho, we waited another 15 min for the server to finally come back to the table. It was not until my wife went up to Celeste at the bar and told her about our full experience. Meanwhile Marjorie tries to get me to pay immediately on a mobile machine without a paper copy of the bill. I said we were waiting to see what Celeste is going to do before I square up. Celeste eventually comes by and says you don't want these pancakes we had stacked up in our to-go boxes. I honestly said no at this point. I just don't like to waste food and would have forced myself to eat it later at home. She took both boxes so fast I figured she would remove everything from the bill since the whole experience was not palatable. Instead she chalks it up to the GF pancakes being the only issue. I get the MOD was trying to resolve the issue but it was not executed well at all. How are you going to take all the Togo plates off the table immediately but only remove one item? Celeste did print the bill out before I paid but attached a happy hour brochure. Why would I want to come back to a breakfast joint to hang out and drink. I still gave our horrible server a $10 tip for a wasted breakfast but will never return. I don't need the owner to respond and tell us how they apologize for our ruined experience. Just do better for future patrons who may see this review and still...

I was going to let this slide but the disrespect for no reason keeps replaying in my mind and it pisses me off.
Arrived shortly after 12pm on a Tuesday, the resturant was super slow, maybe 3 tables inside and 2 tables on the patio had people. My wife and I chose a table on the patio in the middle. No exaggeration, 15 minutes go by while the server walked past us multiple times with no greeting. I only knew because of how hard that patio door slams every time they walk in and out.
No big deal, but the sewage smell on the patio was horrible at least where we were sitting. Not blaming that on the resturant but it needs to be addressed. Server shows up cold, no greeting, asked what we want to drink. Instant attitude when we requested two waters to start. The menu is extensive, server didn’t ask if we had any questions about anything on the menu. 10 minutes later they were on the way to drop off the waters but we were already making the move to the inside to avoid the sewage smell. I believe that pissed the server off also, but why? Who wants to sit and smell sewage when they eat?
We contemplated leaving the resturant but we chose to stay, which was a mistake.
Now on the inside, our order was taken. A few new tables come in, they were promptly greeted with much better energy. I can think of a few stereotypes that may subject us to this bad service but I’ll leave that to the imagination. I ordered the gluten free French toast. Server asked if I wanted that Neat (normally that means nothing extra on it), I stated yes, French toast with butter and syrup on the side only. I also ordered a side of eggs and a side of hash browns. The server asked if I wanted the puffy hash brown or the flat? I asked him which one is better in your opinion? this is our first time here. He replied to “try the puffy hash brown”.
Food comes out, food was just okay. Not everyone offers gluten free French toast so I was excited about that. They forget the wife’s jelly for her toast, not a big deal but it adds up with all the other things. French toast comes out full of powdered sugar, strawberries and blueberries, I didn’t say anything, I just ate it. A side of Flat hash browns was delivered to the table instead of the servers recommended puffy hash brown. I just ate it, didn’t say anything. Next we realize he forgot my eggs. After about 10 minutes my wife finally gets his attention because he is clearly ignoring us at this point, like we did something to him personally. 8 minutes later he walks by and slides the eggs on the table with an attitude, no apology. In the meantime I was trying to make the rationed butter and syrup portions stretch but I couldn’t. About 5 minutes later he actually checks on us while walking by in a rush and asked if we needed anything. I requested another side of butter. 5 minutes go by, I see the server by the TV shooting trash or something like a basketball multiple times laughing and having fun with his co worker. I’m not expecting 5 star service at breakfast but the slap in the face, disrespect cant be ignored. He clearly forgot about the butter that was requested or just didn’t care. I wave my hand to get his attention and he immediately brings the butter, again with no apology.
20 minutes goes by, meal is done with no further checkups. I have to flag this dude down AGAIN to ask for the check and he brings the payment device with an attitude, of course. Then the server has the nerve to ask if we are part of the rewards program or want to sign up. Hilarious.
We live 3 minutes from this resturant but will continue spending our weekly, local resturant visits to other community restaurants. No problem driving 4, 5 or 10 miles away to places that have better...
Read moreBeen here twice. The first time was AMAZING, a few things on the menu weren’t what we were expecting but it was totally fine the atmosphere was great and the service was even better. The omelette was ehhh but the Monte Cristo was lovely.
Today I did a takeout order and it was terrible. First, I ordered online and arrived 20-25 minutes after ordering when my order would have been ready 15 minutes after placing. Not a problem at all as I could see it was a busy Sunday. I was directed to the bar for my order, the girl behind the bar made no acknowledgment no “let me check on that for you” nothing. Just purposely ignored me as I stood there for 10-15 minutes waiting. I added meat and additional cheese to my chilaquiles and did not receive it. Not normally a person who gets upset by that but when you pay an extra $5 to not receive what you paid extra for is disappointing. I ordered cinnamon roll pancakes and with no pecans and still received the pecans, lots. Thank God I’m not allergic I just really don’t like them, but that certainly could have went bad and is pretty careless. Also, you would think for a takeout order the sauces and syrups would be on the side but no they were LIGHTLY drizzled on my pancakes which had completely absorbed it all by the time I got to eat them so they just seemed dry.
When my order was finally brought out, turns out the bar girl had already made my drink and it was just sitting behind the bar being held hostage. She could have at least given me that portion of my order while I waited. Also, $7 for a 10/12oz cup of strawberry lemonade (which was completely watered down after waiting so long) is pretty insane.
My husband and I were pretty happy to have another breakfast place near the house but probably won’t be back here if the integrity of the food and service gets that compromised due to a few more customers on...
