Del Taco — Restaurant in Spring Valley

I actually love this place because they have option for cheaper items. HOWEVER, the drive thru time is atrociously bad. I personally dont mind waiting 20 - 30 minutes on a drive thru but thats assuming that the quality of the food is actually good and consistent.

If you come in at NIGHT and theres 4 + cars infront of you, your waiting 20 to 30 minutes, NO EXCEPTIONS. However, I will say that there night/overnight crew atleast has CONSISTENCY and QUALITY aswell as only having two people, so I dont mind.

Now for MORNING though your getting the best of both worst. Its still gonna take you 20 minutes to 30 minutes if waiting behind 4+ cars, irrelevant if whether you ordered through app or even if you ordered 1 item through the app. And to top it off, you never really know if your gonna get ripped off or not. For example, order a churro and expect no sugar coating on them or if you order a queso loaded nacho, expect no jalapenos and only half the serving you would get. And yup, thats after waiting 20+ minutes. I literally have seen people 2 cars ahead of me pull out just because of how bad the time is.

Now I sound harsh but as someone who frequents the fast food within the area (ex. Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, McDonalds, In&Out, etc), this has to be the WORST DRIVE thru time. Again, it wouldnt be a problem if my order actually came out good and consistent like on other places, but they dont. So if order morning, double check your order.

Wrote while waiting on drive thru on my unpaid hour break and it took 30 minutes, literally. Got in my car at 2 am and placed my order and immediatly arrived at around 2:02 am. Got in the drive thru and didnt get my order until 2:30, 10 - 15 later than usual. If you dont believe me, come through their drive thru and if your behind 5+ cars, keep time and 9/10 youll be waiting 20+ minutes

I am a recent employee of del taco company . Just on May 22 I walked out due to the general manager Marsiol Benitez talking poorly about me to other employees , I wasn’t going to go public and post this on google but the area director and higher people aren’t doing anything to resolve the issue with this ignorant General Manager .! May 25th a couple days after I quit I went in to order my Daughter who is ONE years old some fries and donut bites she loves them .! Marsiol not only denied my service but threatened me with calling the police mind you I have not been 86’d from del taco and I came in as a guest to order my daughter some food , I left because I was with my daughter and didn’t want to involve her with the drama cause my Marsiol then , on June 5th around 12pm I came in to get my blank ((not gonna names names due to risk of others jobs )) who works there from work because Marsiol said an we have the message that she was clearly off at 12pm when my blank went to clock out Marsiol threatened her job saying if she left she will tell corporate she quit and walked out which isn’t the situation she clearly said she was off at 12pm then when she saw me she threatened me again refused my order and told me she would call the police on me I didn’t want to get involved with the police matter so I left again just today June 7th I called because I let my friend who works there borrow my blue iPhone XR he left it at worked so I called to make sure it was still there for me to pick up Marsiol then said a rude comment then hung up in my face , I tried to call back again she answered recognized my voice and hung up on me again , this is ridiculous and poor management I would not recommend this del taco to anyone she threatens jobs & hours of all employees she only cares about herself Definitely needs...

This has got to be the worst Del Taco of all the Del Tacos in the area . I used to go there a lot and stopped going for a few weeks. I just started going back and noticed the service is even worse than BK which is saying a lot. The food is good sometimes, other times pretty awful & the portions are tiny. These people believe serving super small portions then try to nickel and dime you on everything to give you the portion they should give you to start with. So, I just went there last night and the new window cashier is the worst server I've ever encountered. The woman was rude, impolite, glib and super disrespectful on everything I asked her. She had a harsh, crude tone like I was disturbing her leisure. I mentioned her attitude and asked for a supervisor. She informed me she was the supervisor and that I had better be respectful or she's sabotage my good implying she'd spit in it or worse z At that point I was disgusted and told her she was not cut out for this work & that I needed a Del Taco manager to speak with. At this point, she said she was refusing to serve me which I jumped at. There was no way I was ordering food from this person with the dirty mouth who was threatening to sabotage my food. All the money on the world could not make me trust this mentally disturbed person with my food, much less order from it. Never going back to this crazy place with mediocre food and horrible, non-existent customer service. Thank God I'm never going back there. But be warned, ordering from this location you are literally taking your stomach into your hands. I don't trust them anymore and never will while this unstable person still works there. Good bye....
