Kidi, Hiwi, and Shortie are great. Tay, SoHype, and JT are great curators. Orlando, Doug, and Dom do their jobs well. As for the cons
I only come here during the grave - closing hours. About 65 visits leading up to this new review. Spending anywhere from $100-$300 a night. Depending on who tags along, adding hookah, etc.
Too loud. Every time I come in the i leave with tinnitus. You HAVE to bring in ear pods, headphones, protective plugs, and buds to enjoy the place. It WILL damage your hearing permanently. People do enjoy that, but with 3 speakers, you'll eventually blow em. Too many DJs don't have an engineering or technician's experience to level the room. If they did or do, you can really DJ and do sound by yourself simultaneously in a venue as packed as this. For a successful place, the sound has to be top-notch. Louder isn't better.
Clubs like packing in the place but get carried away. You start over populating the venue, and it becomes a nuisance to even be there. Whatever the capacity is should be your limit. I enjoy no cover charges, but once ya get there, the cover charge justifies the non drinking or eating or smoking guests and keeps riff raff out.
Too many times, there are daily instances of ratchet and inebriated folk tryna fight. I do enjoy the loud gangsta rap and trap music, but playing it all night just invites that violent tendency.
Karaoke here isn't really karaoke. It's just using poor made or tuned microphones, poor equipment, over a terrible youtube track. It's like a private room experience, not in a private room. It doesn't mix well. There are hundreds of karaoke "shows" in the valley and just as many private rooms. 99% of em just do provide a great experience.
The food is great, the pricing here and at most lounges are strip prices, basically. I don't mind. They can't provide glassware and silverware because of how ghetto and violence it could get. It saves time, but the presentation suck. The 18-21% gratuity is there. Great for the staff and cheap patrons, but sometimes the poor service or night's experience won't justify it. I'll try to throw $20s to the staff either way, but the ventilation here is poor. I like hookah, but not breathing in everyones bad breath. Sometimes, you can smell bad hygiene in the air.
The environment without the cons does look kinda cool. They have the fireplace projection wash on the wall and some neon cursive lights that have become so popular. Neat colors from the lamps, but they aren't as neatly placed like some other brunch or restaurant spots around town.
If you're a sports fan, there aren't many tvs to watch.
If you're a dancer, the dance floor is there, but when it's busy like it usually is late at night, it just won't happen. Too little space. Your best bet is to get a table and do your thing there. Otherwise, get bumped and humped nonstop at the bar or close to the DJ booth in front of a door that keeps opening and closing.
If you're a singer. No matter how good you sound, the equipment, levels, and track quality won't do well at karaoke.
The highlight really is the drink selection and food quality
Moderation here is key. If they can just balance out things and find a rhythm, this place could be classier and be much more comfortable. There is no point in paying lounge, club, strip, resort prices if it feels like a dingy, drug fueled hangout where I keep running over glass bottles and vapes in the parking lot...
Read moreHorrible Friday night experience. It was empty when we first walked in and now I know why. Furniture in this establishment has not been properly maintained. The table my party was at was very unstable and wobbly which resulted in my drink spilling. Our waitress came by to give us our condiments and put them down next to the spilled mess and hurried away before we could grab her attention. I had to ask a different waiter for a new drink after being ignored for so long. When they brought my drink, no one mentioned I’d be charged for this one. I sipped the second drink and moments later, our waitress that had been avoiding us the entire night imposed in the middle of the conversation and shoved the check directly to my face and stood there within inches of our table for while my party and I reviewed the check. I let her know we were still reviewing the check and she continued to stand there while she waited for me to see charged me for the second drink and she tried to argue with me before I could even get a single word out. The service here is disgusting to say the least, and I see why not a...
Read moreA group of friends and I went to Elevate to celebrate a friend’s Master’s degree. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, we observed groups of individuals leaving the establishment while we were still being denied entry. After another 10 minutes, the situation persisted, with people leaving but no one being admitted. Complaints arose regarding the club’s emptiness, with individuals suggesting that the presence of people outside was used to create a false impression of crowds. This tactic not only demonstrates rudeness but also misleads patrons. I went under the ropes to understand why the club had people waiting outside, when clearly it wasn’t over occupancy. This is when the owner denied me entry and said I wasn’t allowed to come in. Accused me of trying to sneak in, as if I would leave my friends behind to get into a club! I was simply trying to figure out the hold up! I will refrain from patronizing this establishment and advise others to do the same. The owner’s management appears to lack the necessary...
