On May 18, 2025, between 8 AM and 9 AM, I visited the McDonald's located at 9415 W Tropicana, Las Vegas (store number 27408), following my morning workout at the gym. Upon approaching the drive-thru, I was surprised to encounter a male employee who displayed an impolite and disrespectful demeanor. Rather than providing a customary greeting, such as āGood morning! Welcome to McDonald's. How may I assist you today?ā he immediately employed a brusque, authoritative tone.
The lack of proper acknowledgment during this interaction was disconcerting; his initial response was simply, āYES, HOW CAN I HELP YOU?ā This dismissive approach signified a disregard for the principles of customer service that McDonald's purports to uphold and resulted in a significant decline in customer satisfaction.
At the time of my visit, the manager on duty was a female of Polynesian or Pacific Islander descent, who identified herself as "Sue." I made her aware of my concerns regarding the rude comportment of the male employee, articulating my disappointment that he had failed to engage with customers in a respectful manner. I also addressed the employee directly to emphasize the importance of maintaining a courteous tone in customer interactions. Regrettably, neither he nor Ms. Sue offered any form of apology or acknowledgment of the incident.
It is essential for Sue, in her managerial capacity, to ensure that her staff receives comprehensive training in delivering exemplary customer service. This includes fostering an atmosphere of friendliness and respect, as well as instilling an understanding of how critical positive communication is to enhancing the customer experience. The demeanor exhibited by the drive-thru employee suggested a troubling deficiency in interpersonal skills and professionalism, indicating that the management culture may similarly lack these essential attributes. Consistent, respectful interactions are vital for upholding McDonald's reputation, and it is regrettable when such standards are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the McDonaldās near my house so itās very unfortunate that itās far from the standard set by even an average McDonaldās Iāve been to.
I was there at 2:45pm, not during the typical rush hour, yet I waited over 20 minutes for a 4 piece chicken nugget happy meal with Powerade and one large ice tea. If I didnāt ask for help from a manger who was having a meeting in the lobby, I would probably wait even longer. Simply because, the cashier refused to give me a bag / sack to put my food in, after I waited 20 minutes. The female, non- English speaking cashier handed me two drinks and a box with sauce and ketchup without a bag. So I asked for a cup holder and a bag so I can be on my way without dropping everything⦠but she handed me a cup holder then told me to wait for my bag while she started to take orders from other customers. Of course, i understand that every customer is equally important but I donāt think what I asked for was unreasonable. Everything should be in a bag to begin with. So I asked her nicely again to hand me a bag but she still told me to wait in a hard to understand manner. Luckily, there were two managers sitting in the lobby at the time, so I asked for their help. Finally, I got my order in a bag after almost half an hour just for a happy meal and one extra drink.
Iāve noticed a ā 3 star ā rating at this location. And I can understand why. English isnāt my native language but itās the service mentality that is lacking at this McDonaldās. I really hope the managers who work there can train their staff better. After all , service was a big factor of this business, at least when I worked at the McDonaldās during my high...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately, this is not the first time my order at this location has been incorrectāeither missing items or not reflecting the customizations I specifically request. Having learned from past experiences, I always double-check my order before leaving.
Today, once again, my order was incorrect. I had ordered a Triple Cheeseburger, but they gave me a Double Cheeseburger instead. Additionally, I had requested no cheese and added tomatoes and lettuce, but none of these modifications were reflected in my mealāeven after they replaced the burger.
When I addressed the issue with the manager, instead of trying to resolve the mistake, she simply pointed to the receipt showing the āTriple Cheeseburgerā label and claimed that it did not specify āno cheese.ā I know for a fact that I made those customizations while placing my order. Her attitude was rude and dismissiveārather than assisting me, she accused me of being dishonest.
Unfortunately, the receipt does not display all the modifications I made, making it difficult to prove what I had actually ordered. After such a frustrating experience, I donāt feel inclined to return to this...
