We went to Nana’s Green Tea on Friday, July 25th around 3:30pm. They were relatively busy but we were still able to find a place to sit. There was a line up to the door but they got through everyone very quickly.
The cafe had a nice atmosphere and was aesthetically pleasing. The seating was comfortable.
Overall, the food and drinks were good. My brother ordered the vanilla matcha swirled soft serve. He said it was good and had an authentic matcha flavor. My cousin ordered the matcha latte and said it was the best she’s ever had. I ordered three items totaling around $38, first of which was the strawberry red bean latte. It was very good, having a balanced red bean and fresh strawberry flavor. The black sesame parfait was amazing. I am a big black sesame fan and this totally hit the spot. From the ice cream to the jelly, you can taste authenticity and quality. I also tried something from the savory section of their menu, the chicken katsu curry and let me tell you it was incredible. I’ve had chicken katsu curry from many places and I think I have to give it to Nana’s. The katsu was crispy and the batter was the perfect thickness. The curry was the right consistency and had a delicious flavor. I don’t usually eat rice but the curry made me finish all of it. The miso soup was right on as well.
My only criticism is that I don’t think they were prepared for how busy they would be. Typically when places first open it takes some time to gain traction, but Nana’s became popular very quickly. I think with a couple weeks they’ll be able to adapt.
With that said, I think this place has the potential to stick around. The drinks, food, and dessert aren’t just Instagram worthy, they truly taste good. The price point is slightly higher than similar cafes, however you are paying for quality. From the ice cream to the matcha to the savory dishes you can taste the thought put into each item. I’ll definitely...
Read moreOn July 20, 2025, We visited Nana's Green Tea at 6925 S. Buffalo Dr., Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89113, eager for an authentic Japanese dining experience. As someone who’s savored Japanese cuisine and desserts worldwide, I was drawn by the social media hype. Unfortunately, the visit was a major 失望 (Shitsubo) – disappointment – especially for a nearly $100 bill (including tip), which felt like an absolute rip-off.
We arrived for the 11 AM opening, but the restaurant was already full, with a crowd waiting outside. They opened a few minutes late, which added to the anticipation but set a shaky tone. The service, to be fair, was okay – the staff managed the rush as best they could, though they seemed stretched thin. However, the food quality didn’t justify the wait or the price.
The Tonkatsu was over-fried, dry, and tough, lacking any juiciness. The Tofu Teriyaki was so excessively salty we had to return it, which was handled politely but didn’t fix the issue.
The Chicken Karaage was also overcooked, hard, and dry – far too expensive for such poor execution. Is the desert climate to blame for everything being so dry? I’m not convinced.
The desserts, despite their Instagram-worthy presentation, disappointed. The Matcha Warabimochi and Black Sesame Mochi Parfait had striking looks but clashing, overpowering flavors that were hard to enjoy, even with decent textures.
The Matcha Gateau Cake was dry and chalky, far from the delicate matcha dessert I expected.
The restaurant itself felt unfinished, with no decorations yet, making the atmosphere stark and uninviting despite the hype. For a brand rooted in Tokyo’s matcha tradition, I expected far better food and ambiance. The social media buzz feels like a mirage, perhaps because the location is new. I hope they improve, but I can’t recommend this place...

They don’t seem to have a time limit so a lot of tables have finished their food and sat there chatting. We were there for 20 minutes and not one table left.
The matcha drinks here are all premade so everything has sugar except the teas which are brewed prior. The staffs just pour the drinks so drinks do come out fairly quick!
Matcha soft serve - matcha soft serve portion was okay. It’s half full-ish? The cone isn’t house made so it’s a typical cone. I would’ve gotten it in a cup if I knew they bought their cones.
Sesame parfait - the portion seems to be good if you get it dine in. I’d recommend this item. The portion to go is a lot smaller from what I’ve heard and seen.
Cold brew uji-cha - over-brewed. It is bitter. I asked for more ice to maybe dilute it. He added 3 extra pieces of ice.
Cafe latte with soft serve - not a lot of soft serve to begin with. If you like your latte sweet, mix the soft serve, don’t eat it! They will give simple syrup if you want it sweeter. The coffee is NOT sweetened so the soft serve is your sweetener.
Services: 1/5 - they are all very new it seems. They stand there staring and other servers had to ask him/her to talk to their customers. Also, everyone’s voices are so soft. It’s loud in the store, I’d have to ask them repeat multiple times and they still talk so softly. They seem annoyed when I asked them a question. Must have been a tough and long day for them..
Parking: didn’t have to wait for a spot (3:10) but as we left (3:37) people were...
