Wow, this place has gone downhill since the last time we were here, about a year ago...
We ordered a family meal with chicken, ribs, 4 sides, and 4 drinks. The price came to just over $100 - FOR FAST FOOD.!??
The food used to have much more flavor. We used to CRAVE their menu items!!
This visit though, the chicken was super bland and looked under cooked. The mashed potatoes barely had gravy, which is what has the flavor. The rice was dry and surprise surprise- also flavorless. The baked beans over powered the entire plate. The mac and cheese is the only side we loved. This mac and cheese is actually REALLY good, definitely a must try!! You only get 4 tortillas with the meal, and ours were cold.
The service was just as bad. The employees like to look at people. Caught them looking over at us a few times, which made us feel very uncomfortable.
The ambiance was not at all welcoming! They had a young short girl with a sad/upset looking face at the register and no customer service skills. They also had this very pregnant lady cleaning and waitressing, which made us feel uncomfortable for her. We never saw any of the employees smile, not once!
Also, if you're looking for trash bins at the end of your meal, it's a small white trash can behind the register.
I hope they get their sh*t together because we actually really do Love the food here- but only when done right! I'll give them another chance but not anytime soon because we're traumatized after this...
Read moreOrdered the 1/4 ribs w/ breast and wing plus cheese cake via DoorDash today, and when my food arrived I was missing my chicken so I reported to DoorDash and called the restaurant and talked with Ed John who identified himself as a cashier and he checked with the cook who confirmed that my chicken was placed in my order. I asked if they use any safety seals to ensure the food is not tampered with and was informed they do not, buy at your own risk. So now I’m spending my night sending my ring camera of the dasher license plate and filing a police report because if the restaurant is advising no error was made then the driver must have tampered with my food and I cannot jeopardize my life by eating food that was tampered with. I strongly encourage safety seals on all orders as this protects the company and prevents charge backs. I also recommend reaching out to Sagos Baja Tavern and ask them where they get their bags from, it’s sealed so tight that the only way the bag can be opened is if you cut the bag. I love how they value safety, their product and most importantly the customer. I will never order again until better safety precautions are put...
