I haven't gone to a Subway for sometime ever since the one that was just a hop and skip away closed down so I ventured out to this location.
First impressions were it appeared to be a neat location and welcoming. I went during lunch time so I along with others were patient. There appeared to be a male taking orders for walk ins and the other (a female)for app orders: the 3rd person was busy in the back prepping the bread. I waited for about 10 minutes till it was my turn. On a side note, the customer ahead of me was wearing an Eagles T-shirt and the male worker stated he bet on the Eagles and something about the Chiefs. I think that was an attempt to connect but it did not go over with the customer as he had asked the male worker what he said. The customer just wanted his sandwich.
When it was my time to order the ole cold cut combo and requested for lettuce, the male worker said one moment then went in the back. I guess he did not want to bring the sandwich over to where the female worker was fulfilling the app orders and said one moment. I at first thought okay and then waited for a short time when the female worker looked at me and said "How rude". Although I agreed I let it roll off... he reappeared with a fresh batch and continued to work on my sandwich. At the end of the transaction I asked for a bag since I was taking it out. I then acknowledged the female worker who was still working. I guess it was his tone ... a little rough but with some training, he will be fine.
The sandwich was fine and...
Read moreTwo weeks ago, we visited this place.
There was a bespectacled "Sandwich Artist" who was to take our order.
She had plastic gloves on.
I told her what bread I wanted.
She took out the bread and proceeded to cut the bread.
Something tickled her right eye.
Still having her gloves, she reached under her glasses and cleaned her eye. I waited for her to change the gloves BUT SHE DID NOT.
Next, she picked up two slices of American Cheese (my choice) and put the bread into the high speed toaster.
While waiting, she noticed that the hole in which the trash is dumped had some stuff protruding out.
WITH THE GLOVE ON, SHE PRESSED THE TRASH DOWN THROUGH THE HOLE.
Even before the toasting was complete, she cancelled the toasting, pulled out the bread and proceeded to put the lettuce as I wanted on my sandwich.
There was very little lettuce so she literally reached out to the bottom of the box and started putting it on the bread - some of the pieces were brown - so they were obviously not freshly cut.
By then I had had enough.
SINCE SHE HAD NOT CHANGED HER GLOVES AT ALL, I TOLD HER THAT I WAS WALKING OUT AND SHE COULD TRASH THE SANDWICH.
I TOLD HER THE THINGS THAT BOTHERED ME - NOT CHANGING THE GLOVES AFTER:
SHE CLEANED HER EYES.
PRESSING THE TRASH INTO THE TRASH RECEPTACLE.
INSUFFICIENT TOASTING.
BROWNED LETTUCE.
I KNOW I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS SUBWAY EVER - I DOUBT I WILL VISIT ANY OTHER SUBWAY EVEN FOR...
Read moreUsed a buy Footlong Get a free 6" sub coupon. The two kids working this afternoon charged me $17.86 for one turkey footlong with no additional add ons. They first tried to charge me $24 lol, even after i scanned the coupon. I questioned what I was even being charged for and told them to charge me for the regular footlong turkey sub. This led to yet another incorrect charge.
I questioned this new price of $17.86 for a single footlong as well, but they said it was right and the coupon went through. I knew this was incorrect yet again and decided that it wasn't worth arguing or rationally trying to explain the prices listed on the menu over a additional $4 upcharge. It woud've taken them far too long for them to get it right or never get it right and just waste my time with complete stupidity. Come to find out they charged me for the value meal, which i never asked for at all and was not a part of the coupon deal. They just decided that i wanted the value meal on there own without even asking or letting me know.
Clueless employees who actually think one regular turkey footlong with no add ons or extras cost $17.86. They shouldnt be aloud to be on a cash register at Subway or any other establishment. At least they didn't get away with charging me $24 for one footlong like they tried first.
Beware of random charges and multiple errors to even try to remedy the initial mistakes for something...
