ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE! After already paying $25 for my food the woman running the drive thru told me I still owed a $1.76. I didn't have cash on me, no big deal since there are two banks right next door to this location. So I asked if I could come inside to pay the rest to which the woman replied rudely "That's not how this works. How are you going to pay the rest you have no money?" Before I could finish saying I can go to the bank next door since you have already charged me $25 and you have my food made. She shot me down saying again that that's not how this works. Beyond pissed at how rude and inconsiderate this woman was being I lost my temper and cussed her out. Not the smartest thing to do I know but this was after waiting in line, already paying for my food besides a drink (which I am guessing was the $1.76), and being spoken to as if I was a criminal for not having cash on me. She cussed back at me and we argued for a second before I left since there are other better Whataburgers that wouldn't make a huge deal out of me coming inside to pay the rest. Some I bet would even let it slide since its a big company and I guarantee loses more money a day from employees stealing, messing up, or eating food they didn't pay for.
It only gets worse however when I call the store and the man answering the phone says he's a manager and just got there so he doesn't know what happened. So I asked for another manager when this guy blows my mind by telling me this lady was also a manager. Speaking to her on the phone did no justice as she lied to me saying she would have given me the money (not sure how exactly) had I not started cussing. I know this to be a lie because she could have done that anytime before when I was calm and offered a solution to the problem. Yet she shrugged when I asked what I can do after telling me I cant come inside to pay the rest. Note this is all over a whopping almost $2! Whataburger must not be doing good if they can't handle a possible loss of almost $2! Which wouldn't have been a loss since I had no problem paying the rest!
My question is though how someone who doesn't care about their customers and cusses back at them IS A MANAGER!? YES I KNOW I WAS IN THE WRONG FOR STARTING THE CUSSING! However, if you work in the food industry you know you don't do that. I worked at Firehouse Subs dealing with people like myself who lost their temper, but never once did I argue back or cuss back at them because not only is that rude but at that point you're not doing your job right. As much as it sucks the customer is always right even when they are wrong, THEY are the ones paying YOU for a service!
And this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Similar situations have happened to my parents when Whataburger said their card was declined or had insufficient funds, when it was the main card they use all the time that always has money in it. I don't know whats going on with this location but the customer services has plummeted in recent months. Don't believe me, look at the other one star reviews and how long ago...
Read moreI usually don't review fast food restaurants, But I felt like i needed to because of how bad the experience was! Where do i even begin .... First off My fiancé & I ordered 10 minutes before going to curbside pickup. I gave them plenty of time to make my food.
I pulled up to the curbside pickup, I called the main number & mind you Hope the "manager" picked up the phone being inattentive and was focused on talking to other people rather than the person who was on the phone. I had to repeat myself multiple times for her to understand the reason behind my call. Hope gave me nothing but attitude when asked about curbside pickup. I told her who the order is for & what number lane i am in she said "we don't do phone pickup order", I also asked her is there is a number to text notifying what spot i am in for the order pickup? She said "no, do it through the app!" I said I don't have the app can i do it through the website because that is going to take a while & my food will be cold by the time I set up everything, I have the receipt & order number if you want it & her response is "no we only do it through the app so do it that way".
As I am making my account for the phone app, Hope walks outside again asking "what order i am picking up?" even though I have already told her this information over the phone...once again her response is "do it through the app" & walks away.
I made my account for the app, I looked on ways to pickup my order through the app & nothing worked. I walked inside for the staff to help me & they couldn't get my app to work either... this is now 10-15 min later! Another employee mentioned i could check in through the website... I am in awe of how a manager can be unaware of this, or the lack of communication.
After my fiancé put the curbside number in for the pickup, i received my food after a few minutes of me witnessing staff & the manager huddled together doing who knows what. They almost forgot my drink which i also had to remind them of, which is pretty ridiculous!
All in all what could have been less than 5 min curbside pickup, became a 20-30min pick up. The lack of professionalism is slim to none! Very...
Read moreTried to give location the benefit of the doubt boy was I wrong for doing that. This is my third time coming this location and is just as horrible as the first food is never right. The manager is super rude and the manager messed up myFood and then tried to rush me through the drive-through. I asked for no pickles on my sandwich specifically because I’m allergic to pickles I get my sandwich looks like they just took a sandwich that was already made into pickles off of it. There was one pickle on the sandwich. The sandwich whole sandwich tasted like pickles which could have really hurt me. Then on top of that they provided me with cold fries asked for no salt fries looks like they took old fries dipped them back in the grease had them sitting up there a while, then gave me cold fries. I then proceeded to ask the manager for new fries, and she gave me fries covered in salt after I specifically asked for no salt fries. I mean I love Whataburger!
