Foremost I would like to say is, there needs to be better management here. I am new in town and only been here for 2 weeks looking for work. I have managed 2 Chili’s restaurants before and also managed 2 fast food restaurants which area Mcdonalds and Popeyes so I have manager background. #1 All of the servers are vaping in the restroom. This is very much unsanitary. #2 Servers are eating food on the expo lines and getting free food from the cooks , while eating they are stopping and not washing hands but moving forward to running their tables food. #3 There’s constant fussing amongst the workers , no team work. They let tickets pile up in the window. #4 I feel the environment is unprofessional. #5 There’s two workers Ryan who is training right now to be a key and another work Jessica who was about to fight to the back of the work area due to Ryan taking notes on workers apparently that needed to be fixing in the restaurant. She wanted me to do it too but I felt uncomfortable knowing that it was my first day and I’m brought into all the drama amongst these girls. I told one of the workers which is Jessica that I was uncomfortable about it and she addressed Ryan about it. This day there was a manager name Diana taking over for the day so the general manager could have a day off. She was very unprofessional. She came up to me with straight attitude asking if I’m uncomfortable which I replied yes and she asked me if I’m not a rat ? I replied no and she say well you can go home. So I clocked off. The general manager never reached out to me to see what was going on or anything. The place is in need of workers and management and to say I’m new in town this was a very bad look and I will never visit or step foot in another big city wings ever. The reviews was bad of the place but I still wanted to come in and work for big city wings cause I figure I could bring in some of my positivity into the place. Also the sweet tea cans are full...
Read moreWe have been to this location 6 times. 4 time have been horrible. We went opening weekend where our server was dancing around and goofing around instead of refilling our drinks or checking on us. It was opening weekend so I didn’t worry to much about it. The second time we went to eat in the dining room our waitress kept coming around with her mask done below her chin. It wasn’t like she pulled it down to talk to us. No she was walking around carrying food and talking to the host. Both 1 and 2 visit I could over look. So the next two times we did take out which went fine until recent. We order curbside pick up. I went picked up my kids and went to pick up the food. Got to the restaurant called the number listed on the sign not once but 3 times with no answer. Finally I got out of my car and walked in leaving my 8 and 1 year old in the car. Once inside it took me another 2-3 min to flag someone down to get the food. This one was by far the worse. 4:45pm ordered online. 5:00pm called to confirm receipt of order, and am informed it will be ready in 15-20 min. 5:15pm arrived at curbside and call. 5:28pm get out of car to find out where my food is. Once again leaving my 8 year old alone in the car. I am told my order isn’t ready. Attempt to cancel my order but am reassured that my food will be out momentarily. At 5:33pm go out to retrieve my child from the car. Wait another 20min so it is now 5:50pm with some people waiting with us and others coming and going. Every now and then they will call out a name and hand them a bag. They are still taking calls and telling people it will be 30 min to get their food. At this point I go and ask again how much longer. At this point the employee walks over to a table off to the side and grabs a bag off it. Unsure how long my food has been done. At this point I will not be returning or ever be recommending this...
Read moreThis is our second visit. On our first visit, we were seated by the hostess. We then waited about 30 minutes before we walked out and went elsewhere. We were never approached. No drinks. No contact with a server at all. Now, our second visit, and it wasn't much better. We decided to stick it out until a server showed up, no matter what. We did finally get a drink order, and, eventually, a food order, but this took a LONG time. We have now been in the restaurant almost two hours. The food was wrong. The check was wrong. We had one refill of our drinks, each, during a two hour period. We didn't want to be here two hours, that's just how long it took to complete the order, eat, pay transaction. Our server was very polite, and he seems like, with enough experience, he'll eventually be good at this, but he got no support from those around him. I counted four servers, with only three tables between them, and no one else ever checked on us, or brought us food or drinks. While waiting on someone to bring us a check, I watched the hostess play the claw machine. Most of these things can be ironed out with some management oversight, but this is probably the last chance we'll give Big City on a weeknight. If you're still reading, the food was very good, which is the two stars. I would definitely order it, to-go, because trying to sit and eat here is not recommended. Update: the service has been much improved on the last couple of visits! Maybe chalk it up to a new restaurant or a first time manager? I'm leaving this one at 4 stars because, even after a couple of good visits, we still only visit when we know we have extra time...just in case. They still have great wings, and the to-go seems very...
