Freebirds World Burrito — Restaurant in Texas

I walked up to place my order. I was greeted and asked what I would like. I responded with chicken fajita nachos. I continued down the line, letting the young lady know each item I wanted added. My order is complete, and I'm ready to pay. The manager is on the register. She rings my food and gives me the total. I noticed that my total was higher than I thought it should have been. So I questioned the manager as to why. She stated that it's because of the shredded cheese. I told her that I wasn't aware there was an extra fee for the shredded cheese. She then said, well there is. I replied, I wasn't aware, and the young lady didn't tell me. Her next response was that the shredded cheese is an additional cost. Do you still want the nachos? I said yes, but I'm not paying for a cost that I didn't know was there. She set the order aside and told her employee to make the order over. WOW!!! I obliged for 2 reasons. I was craving those nachos for 2 days already. Secondly, I wanted to see her waste all of that food for no reason. I asked her if that was something she would normally do, have an employee remake an order and waste food? She replied back, in a nasty tone, with yes, we don't give away free food. I looked at her and said shredded cheese?! You you wasted all of that food for cheese shredded cheese? That's absurd!

I would have thought a manager would have handled that situation a lot better. A better response, with no waste of food, would have been, please know and understand that shredded cheese on nachos is extra. We can accommodate you is time, but in the future we cannot.

Customer service is a huge deal to me. I frequent this place and have never seen her there. I hope to never encounter her again. If so, I'll NEVER return.

I went into Freebirds today for lunch and the general manager was very rude and un welcoming. She was training a young man and I wanted to get the special that they had with the burrito the chips and a drink so the young man told me it would be extra for the cauliflower rice. She comes over to tell him he didn’t have to tell me that I could read the board so I thanked the young man for telling me because if I hadn’t known that, it was Extra That would’ve made the price go up and I probably wouldn’t have wanted it and she butts in and say yell, and I just would’ve threw it in the trash so she takes the tray from the young man and started fixing my food. I asked her can he continue on fixing my food because I didn’t like her response and her attitude she refuse to let the young man finish fixing my food and she told me she was the general manager and she can do what she want so she proceeds to walk over to dump my food in the trash and asked me did I want it or not and I said yes, I want my food, but I don’t want you to fix it so there was a nice young man that was worken in the back. I asked him would he fix my food he said yes he was on the grill. He came over and fix my food and was very pleasant about it. I’m continue on talking to them, and she keeps butting at the end she rings my food up and asked me for the phone number and I refuse to give it to her and I asked the young man what was his name and she butts in gave me his name . I think maybe she was something she was breathing really hard and her eyes were glossy she had 2 braids with purple highlights . In my life of 50 years I’ve never had that happen to me I’m still in shock . This is her in the photo . Who ever the owner is needs to know how...

I had waited a few months/ few visits to review. This is now my 5th visit. The staff has always been friendly and upbeat. I had an issue the first time with mobile ordering which is why I waited months later to review. We won't go there. Went 2 days ago to order 3 burritos, they seemed a little low on steak for all 3 so I waited awhile. I noticed they set one to the side so assumed there was plenty on the other two. Fast forward 5-10 min later I see them bringing out steak to add more to the Monster one as I'm at the register paying. They start scooping it on my son's burrito and even from where I'm at it's looking pretty red?? LIke some very rare pieces mixed in so I say that to the girl only to get a reply of I'm sorry, with a smile. At this point I'm confused and really needed to go drop off this food at how 3 people are looking at this and think it's ok. I should've said more but I just didn't see anyone who looked like a mgr. I took it home, told my teen to inspect it before eating it. He got 1/3 the way in and said, mom I like rare meat but this looks raw! That was the end of that. Out of 3 burritos, one was spot on, one had little to NO steak, the other had the raw pieces mixed in. So sad, I really wanted to love it.. Oh well.

DONE. At least my son won't be asking me to go...
