All I can say is we are so happy to live so close to this restaurant. Its been a few years since we were able to get great Indian food.
This was the first time we ate here. We started with the Shrimp Tikka appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. For our main entrees we had Malai Kofta, which is a potato and cheese dumpling in a cashew sauce and Navaratan Korma, which is mixed veggies in a Korma sauce. Both came with basmati rice and we ordered both Roti and butter Naan. It was all so awesome. I will say the spiciness was mild and we didn't ask to make it spicier. Since it was our first time visiting, we wanted to see how it comes to us. To finish off the meal, we each had a cup of Chai. It was a great finish to any absolutely fantastic meal.
The service was spot on. Throughout the meal, I think just about every one of the wait staff tended to us. I saw some reviews about slow service, but I think that might just have been individuals who are not used to eating at a restaurant where they make nearly everything at the time you order it. So of course its going to take a bit for the food to come out. My recommendation, talk to your friends and family that are with you and have a great time. And if you need something, don't be afraid to just motion to one of the servers. They are all so nice and attentive.
I do have one recommendation, on the Nepali Kitchen section of the menu. Please add descriptions. It would make ordering easier and we wouldn't have to ask the waiter to explain in detail what the dish is.
The last thing that I have to say is don't forget to BYOB. We didn't know that it was a BYOB, though in hindsight we probably should have known or called to ask. In any case, we will definitely return very soon for...
Read moreWent on a Sunday for the buffet. Outside temps were 80 degrees and the seating area did not have enough air conditioning. They did turn on a fan that happened to be behind my chair and that helped. Restrooms and restaurant are very clean. I can't be around incense and they assured me that they no longer use it there which is good for those of us who can't tolerate it. Buffet does not have as many sauces/condiments compared to other Indian buffets and the food was not hot enough. Chicken Masala was extra tasty as were the samosas and I appreciated the free, milky, spicy hot tea. I'm very happy to see things on the menu not offered at many Indian restaurants like momo's (dumplings that are like stuffed Chinese wontons and can be in broth, steamed or fried) so I took home an order of chili momo's (vegan!) and they were great. Nice to have some vegan options other than the token chickpea dal type of dish you are normally limited to on an Indian restaurant menu! Unless you are in a hurry during your lunch break from work, I'd order off of the menu instead of...
Read moreThree of us went for dinner. Arrived at 5:00 on a Tuesday and there was no one else there. Only one other table was seated about the time we were leaving. We ordered the Masala tea and it didn’t come out for 20 mins. Small cup, but we all enjoyed it. The food took about a 1/2 hour to get. My mom ordered shrimp coconut curry but received beef. She did not say anything because she didn’t want to wait for new food. I got the lamb Thali plate and my daughter got the veggie. We also ordered a side of garlic naan but did not receive it. When I told the waiter about it, he argued with me and would not agree that he never brought it out and would not remove the charge from my check. It was $3 so I wasn’t going to keep arguing. They also played the same song on loop over and over and the light above our table was constantly flickering. Food was ok, but because of the waiter not being willing to remove the cost of the garlic naan and how rude he was about it, I will not go back. There is definitely an issue with communication so be wary of...
