I was visiting Springfield, MO yesterday and had a craving for stir fry. I came across Amazin Buffet on South Campbell Ave and decided to stop in after seeing it had a rating above 4.0. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the reviews. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off. The hostess was unwelcoming and seemed annoyed when I politely requested a booth instead of the crowded section she initially directed me to. First impressions matter—especially for new guests—and this one didn’t set a positive tone. My server was prompt and friendly, which I appreciated, but things went downhill from there. While the buffet looked decent at first glance, I quickly noticed how unclean the restaurant was. The floors, lobby, and even the restrooms were noticeably dirty. As for the food, most of what I tried—Hibachi chicken, beef with broccoli, spicy shrimp, and other chicken dishes—was lukewarm, bland, or tasted slightly burnt. I went back to try a few more items hoping for better results, but it was more of the same. To top things off, when I went to pay, the cashier seemed irritated that I only had a larger bill, and there was zero appreciation shown for my business. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and still hungry. This place needs a serious reevaluation in terms of cleanliness, food quality, and customer service. I won’t be returning. Grub Score 2/10

Pros: Huge place with a alot of seating with a well decorated entrance bubble wall was pretty interesting for kids. The prices are pretty competitive for the springfield area. Has sushi made fresh in the back as well as a hibachi grill in the front with plenty to select from. Crab legs on certain times and days. Would recommend the salmon, melon shrimp, fried rice, baked donuts, clams, coconut cake. Also have a 10 percent military discount and a 5 percent pay in cash discount. Staff doesn't seem to speak much English but are overall friendly. They are newly opened so alot of room for improvements. Cons: The taste of alot of things seemed a little bit off. No labels on any of the sushi section and a few other things on the buffet and mislabeled items. My biggest problem was so many of the dishes that said crab were all artificial crab and should have been labeled that way I don't like to waste food but it's the farthest from the actual taste of crab. Some of the tables could use some work deep cuts and exposed wood. And the bathrooms could be a cleaned a bit better uncomfortable to clean before using could just be during our visit so not sure. And was not given a receipt.

Walking in the decor and environment is promising, the waitresses are also on point and I was seated almost immediately. The buffet is huge and worthy of the word amazing on the surface. I sampled many things, various shellfish, chicken dishes and so me sushi and lo mein. Also some hot and sour soup. The soup was good, as was the sushi. Concern came about as soon as I started on any of the shellfish. It was all lukewarm if not cold. The chicken and lo mein were the same case. The plain chicken for cashew chicken was not only lukewarm but was strangely yellow. I retrieved one piece by itself and confirmed it was not from the sauce. Leaving much of the meal untouched I decided to get something off of the desert bar, your usual bananas with strawberry syrup....many of the bananas were poorly peeled with strings off the peel and some were literally rotting. Pictures of all of these things are provided with this review. I take my reviews very seriously and give a lot of leniency, but for what may be the first time, I cannot give any higher than a 1.

My wife and I recently visited the Amazin buffet and we were very impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We had the chance to try a variety of seafood, including fresh fish, shrimp, and crab. The meat was also excellent, with a variety of cuts and flavors to choose from.

We were also impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the buffet. Everything was spotless and well-stocked. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. They were always happy to help us find what we were looking for.

We were a little surprised to see some negative reviews online, but we believe they are unfounded. Our experience was nothing but positive. We would definitely recommend this buffet to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable meal.

Specifics:

Food: The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. The meat was also very flavorful.

Cleanliness: The buffet was spotless and well-stocked.

Service: The staff was friendly and attentive.

Negative reviews: We believe the negative reviews are unfounded. Our experience was nothing but positive.

Conclusion:

We had a wonderful experience at the Amazin buffet. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the cleanliness was top-notch. We would definitely recommend this buffet to anyone looking for a great meal.

P.s.: Many people lie about the price. Someone wrote that for two adults and three children, they paid $107. It's a complete fabrication. The most expensive day is Sunday, and it's only $16 per person. For that money, you can't even buy a regular burger. Here, there's food for every taste and color and in...

This is one of the best Chinese buffets I have ever been to. I have been a graphic remover for thirty years. We are nationwide so I have been to a lot of Chinese buffets. They are my favorite , and I have been to at least two hundreds of them. If I was rating this place, Of two hundred buffets, They will be in the top five percent Nationwide. A couple days ago, my granddaughter and I wanted to go have sushi. Two places we went to where closed. When I looked for sushi close to us I found amazing buffet. I didn't even know they were open, but they said they had sushi. So we tried it. Oh my god!!!!! Their sushi was as good as any sushi bar in town. The best part about it, was there buffet was only $10.99 For lunch. The sushi chef is a master at his craft. If you've ever had a golden dragon anywhere else you know they are about fourteen dollars. For $10.99 you can have the best sushi in town, Plus 6 other Isles of Food, plus a complete dessert bar. Our friends came up from Branson for my birthday today ,and I took them there. They were amazed at the quality and the quantity of food. They have a great selection of regular food plus the hibachi. I have lived in springfield for thirty years, And this is one of the best buffets we have ever had in springfield. Please try this place, so we can keep them open. If you have posted a bad review, please try them again and give them a second chance. You can either eat at this amazing place for eleven dollars, Or go have a hamburger and fries at other restaurants for more money. I wish to thank the owners for opening this place up. I will Return there many...
