AZ-T-CA Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Springfield

I'd give this place Azteca a negative 10 if I could, they don't even deserve my one star. These workers day & night have screwed up my take out orders everytime. Americans that talk English taking my order cant take a preschool order. I always order "1 burrito, rice & black beans with cheese on top of the beans." Lunch hour 12 noon, I just now went to pick up my call in order, some "smart alec mouthed older short blonde haired lady" came up stating "SHE OWNS THE PLACE," "WHO CARES???? We own more than one business that has NOTHING to do with getting my order correct!! She took my box out of my bag stating shes going to show me my food to see if its right really rude, she had a nasty attitude, I was nice & said "PERFECT" she put the box back in my bag & pranced off with a nasty attitude still.... She "never apologised" I never called back to complain on any of my messed up orders in the past either. On the phone the girl took 10 minutes repeating my simple 3 item lunch meal over & over & over. I said listen, it's not that difficult I'm in a hurry, I am at work, theres 3 slots in the box, put a burrito in 1, rice in 1 & black beans with cheese in the 3rd...I did not say it meanly OR I would not of went into pickup my food. Point blank! Another blonde headed young girl that previously was nice to me was not nice to me today! I said that owner wasnt too nice to me, she then said well you weren't to pleasant on the phone either...(I'm a customer & a regular, totally uncalled for to say anything but apologize to the customer right??? "Yes!" I ask for my charge card back & said I dont want the food & left.. I do not have time to be playing games on my lunchtime or before or after work with rude people that simply cannot take a simple order...on my way out they ran their smart alec mouths at me..the owner didnt even apologize for all my other orders they have messed up. I was a regular customer that will NOT be back ever... Learn to treat ALL customers nice regardless of the situation period!! That's HOW our whole family has delighted happy customers always returning & why we are highly wealthy bcuz we treat "everyone the way they should...

Horrible!! Made a long time customer never want to come back. I asked for a Don Julio margarita on the rocks with salt. The waitress at the bar (not the bartender who claimed to not understand English) asked "you want a top shelf margarita? I'll make it special for you." I just asked for a don julio margarita on the rocks. The owner asked me the same question! "You wanna top shelf margarita?" When i ask for Don Julio, i guess it's what ever top shelf they choose? He proceeds to go on and on about what makes the "top shelf" $12 margarita so great. Then, says i could have the $7.99 margarita out of the machine. He was inappropriately rude to me. My order was very simple, but he was trying to sell alcohol to the girls at the end of the bar! It waa atrocious!! I was also going to order a $16 entree on top of the "top" shelf drink, but he didn't care about that either. I almost felt embarrassed for him about how he treated me in front of other customers and employees. I'm still in shock!! It's very sadly becoming a typical trend that businesses don't care about customers because they've been given so much stimulus money they dont care about treating people like crud. 6/5/2025: Decided to give it another try. What a difference! My taco salad with ground beef was large, flavorful, and topped with delicious guacamole. My wife had a veggie bowl that was huge! She said it was delicious and took about half of it home. Excellent service and wonderful server. We'll definitely be cack.

Came for dinner for the first time since the pandemic. The decor has been updated, and the booth was comfortable. I ordered the steak salad bowl; my wife had a cheese quesadilla and yuca fries. The salsa and chips were fine, but my salad bowl was barely warm, and my wife's quesadilla wasn't hot. Her fries were good. Our server was seemingly reluctant to take our order, and after he delivered our food, we didn't see him again until the owner told him to bring our check. He didn't bother to check on us or ask about drink refills. Someone else cleared the dishes, and once he left the check, he again disappeared. The owner finally took the card and brought our receipt.
