The staff and the atmosphere were on point, along with the small plates, didn’t try the rice dishes so I cannot speak to there goodness however the ramen was seriously lacking,I’m a huge ramen fan and have eaten it in San Diego,LA, San Francisco,Houston,Nashville,Chicago, St. Louis and I was unfortunately very disappointed in this ramen. The broth is thin and bland, they state on the menu that the pork broth is cooked for 12 hours and any professional ramen chef will tell you that it takes at least 24 hours to make a nice rich pork bone broth, the chicken broth had good texture but was also very bland also,as if they don’t add enough(or any) Tare to their bowls, the noodles had to much bite to them, not springy like ramen noodles are supposed to be,they ate more like vermicelli. The pork belly was soft and does melt in your mouth but again it was flavorless, definitely not braised the correct way. I tried all the small plates and thought they were really good, the karage chicken is awesome! I hate to be so critical but I had high hopes for this place and especially the ramen, just wish that it was made correctly and was flavorful like real ramen is supposed to be(between my friends and myself we tried every ramen bowl they have so I’m judging it based on all ramen offerings not...

There was a depth of flavor missing and the broth tasted watery. Would order again though because it's still the best in Springfield.
Service was awkward. We were told to seat ourselves, then told to get back up to order (our seats almost got swiped while ordering) then we sat back down and they served us the food. Drinks came in bottles (including water), so if you wanted another you'd need to get up and go back in line again. They brought out the food within 20min. Staff was friendly.
The restaurant is very well decorated, the seats are comfortable, and the atmosphere is cool. The temperature inside was moderate. Noise: moderate, minimal to no music....
Read moreLooked small on the outside but opened up once inside the door. Large menu with lots of selections. Two of the three of us liked the vegetarian options, and I liked the chicken and pork options. All the bowl were good -- large flavorful portions. Excellent service, and the place is spotless. Definitly up for a return visit.
9/17/2023: Returned for dinner. I had shrimp tempura, suteki don, and island dream tea. My wife had veggie eggrolls, and spicy vegan, creamy ramen. Everything was delicious. BUT, during the 30+ minutes we were in the restaurant, the same one-verse song played over and over on a loop. It was beyond annoying -- maddening really -- and we left as soon as we finished. We'll return, but if that song is playing, we'll take our food to go. It negatively impacted our enjoyment -- it...
