C and J Carribbean Restaurant Bar Grill and Catering Services — Restaurant in Springfield

I cannot say enough good things about C & J Caribbean Restaurant - this place is truly awesome! My fiance and I had the pleasure of dining here recently, and we were blown away by the delicious food and great presentation. I ordered the shrimp pasta and rice and beans with chicken, both of which were absolutely fantastic. My fiance had the fried fish with fried plantains, and he couldn't stop raving about how tasty it was.

We even had the opportunity to help out a fellow diner who was unfamiliar with Haitian cuisine. We recommended the oxtail to her, and I hope she enjoyed it as much as we did. The food here is all prepared fresh, so if you're in a hurry, this might not be the best spot for you. But trust me, the wait is worth it!

Food was disgusting. Extremely expensive. I ‘m from the Boston area, and I eat Haitian food all the time. I am a student on a budget. I went during lunch hours and no other customers in sight. First tell-tale sign, most Caribbean restaurants that are have great tasting food, have people waiting outside the door or on the inside it is jammed packed. I should have known when the place was completely empty. No aroma from the food, even after they cooked my order. The meat was awful. It's a Haitian restaurant, and beans and rice were so dry. I googled this restaurant and it had a 4.6 rating. Cool. I am not from the area and wanted Caribbean food. When me n hubby walked in, nobody was at the counter to greet us. There was a small piece of paper taped to a billboard with the menu. Prices were very high. The swinging door to the kitchen was Filthy!!
