I love my food fresh and hot therefore when I order I always ask for fresh up and hot food and I'll be glad to wait. I did this here but. I got fast service, food out quick and you guessed it... Tough fish, barely warm fries and over done hush puppies. I tried to eat it but I couldn't. Thought about just throwing it away and leave but an employee happened to be near and I explained my situation and I apologized for asking her for help as she didn't take or cook my order/food. I didn't get her name but I'm thankful for her and her willingness to help, empathy for me, a caring heart and gentle soft voice and efficient service. She made things right. If she's not the manager of this location, she should be! I did contact the regional or district manager via email but I haven't heard anything back from her yet. I'm giving 3 stars because of this 1 special lady! Thank you so much! On this note I ask Captain D's to consider the importance of Quality of...
Read moreBecause it’s been over a week and corporate hasn’t emailed me as they said they would, I’m writing this review. I went through drive through Monday September 9th 2024. I’ve been coming to this store for about 30 years, and this is about the third time I’ve gotten a disgusting meal. When I got home about 10 minutes later, the food is usually still very warm or hot but cold and hard in this case. There were two big pieces of fish that tasted good but cold, chicken slightly bigger than hush puppies cold hard salty, coleslaw warm cabbage vinegar taste not usual best ever mayo slaw, okra a few small dark hard cold pieces instead of abundant plump hot nicely breaded serving and hush puppies small dark cold serving. For some reason they discontinued and no longer have their delicious sweet and sour sauce! Please call corporate to bring it back like they did in Clarksville. I won’t go back to Springfield store and may possibly try other stores but...
Read moreI've given it a couple go's, but I can't do it. Literally hadn't been in a Dee's since I was a kid. If we ate out back then, it was the Dee's. Fast-forward to giving this joint a whirl, and something's just... off. The food is passable, but not plentiful. You pay more than you expect. And the sun-flooded dining room screams? quiet death. Even the service is very government-building-y. I can't explain it, but something tells me that's the kinda thing the Over-70 crowd is huntin', 'cause their banging the doors down at all hours. Which probably also explains the deep (and hangry?) red scratches I got on my whip in the parking lot. Pro-tip: Park across the street. Take your chances crossing the highway like an escapee, before you risk you or your sled in this deathtrap of a lot. Better yet: Stay over there and get some Scooby-snacks from the Rite-Aid until your sugar levels out. Also: Plant some...
