Ichiban — Restaurant in Springfield

If I could a zero would! Food is always great but today the waitress was the worst I've ever had! Had the worst attitude! Yes she was busy but we other staff offered to help her she said no. She never once came to our table after the food was dropped off to see if we needed anything besides dropping the check. I drove 1 and half to come eat here and will never again!! Don't recommend anyone either. There is plenty of places close to Springfield they are 10 times better especially with there customer service!!!

Now replying the your respond. The waitress never checked on. She dropped our food check off so fast never gave us time to ask if we needed anything when we did anc walked off abruptly! It got so bad with her attitude. That I asked to speak to a manager or someone there to ask, what is going on. A younger gentleman that looks to be a teenager came to the table. We tried to talk to him and then she came over raising her voice at us. She personally called me and my momma Karen When at this point all I'm doing now, it's giving her the energy that she brought in the first place!! We was not the only table before this happened. There was other people that had nothing to drink are being checked on. But for select few, she was kind too, and I did notice that. Maybe she was slowing down and that is why. She rudely stated y'all was never my table to begin with.I said, well you should've never came to us. I've been a waitress before in my past, and i've waited on the that many tables In the small building by myself, without having a attitude like she did. Maybe she was having a bad day, but there was no sense of taking it out on someone else. I was having a perfectly good day until I walked in with her attitude. So no, that's not being called a Karen. That's called your energy comes to me, and now i'm giving you off your energy, and making it ti you. What's even sad is when we asked to speak with someone and that was a young child that came to the table, and then he walked off like nothing matters. So to me, that pretty much shows me this restaurant. It doesn't matter like it does not matter how the staff treats the customers if it's good service bad service.Whatever nothing will ever be done so no I will give it a zero. And I would recommend no one ever...

Service was average from our waitress, but the quality of our meals was absolutely terrible. We both ordered a couple apps and the bento box teriyaki beef and shrimp respectively. Sushi tasted like it had sat too long, fried rice tasted odd (that's the best way I can explain it) and each of our teriyaki tasted cheap and comparable to a microwave meal. I politely explained our situation to our waitress and that I was happy to pay for our drinks and apps but that I wouldn't be paying for our meals (which we didn't touch again after a few bites) and did not want a replacement. She said she understood and proceeded to get her manager. Instead of coming directly to our table to address the issue he first went to everyone around us first and to us last, which I found to be odd and sort of deceptive honestly. I explained myself again in the same polite manner and he had the audacity to tell us we were wasting food and then laughed in my face. Pretty safe assumption I made a scene but you get what you give. How dare they treat paying customers like this. The food was awful but the customer service is worse. I work in customer service and I let them know this was completely unacceptable. Take your business elsewhere

Ok now, no travel required or at least very little for us, if we are ever at home. This is one of our very favorite restaurants in our surrounding hometown area. The food is consistently awesome!!! If I'm at home and anyone wants to go eat out. Family, Church family, friends, if your a stranger and you want to eat there, we can become friends over lunch, let's go!!! Lol!!! I usually prefer sleeping over eating but 9 times out of 10 you want me up just mention Ichiban. See what happens!!! I'm always up for Ichiban!!! Side note if you dont mean it. You better not mention it!!! SERIOUSLY!!! I will pout the rest of the day!!! Or until whoever gives in. Lol!!! I LOVE this place!!! Calvin and Kiki I think that is how you spell their names are the most awesome people. Their hardwork and dedication to their restaurant shows in every aspect of your eating experience there. Always good and always consistent!!! We have been eating here for years and I do reviews from all over the US. I cant believe I never thought about my hometown FAVORITE!!! Not only are they my hometown FAVORITE but they are one of my ALL time FAVORITES!!!
