Read moreFirst impression would have been a 1 star but after getting to watch and eat my food I'll give it 4 stars.
So I came in for lunch just after the Sunday church rush. When I walked in I saw at least half the dining area was still seated and at least half a dozen tables that had not been cleared.
I ordered my food, went to find a seat and found a small table for 2 so I did not have to take a large table. As I go to get my drink i see they have changed over to Pepsi products and no Pibb Extra!! Pibb Extra is one of the deciding factors to eating at Fazolis. And to make matters worse the Dr Pepper was going out so it was foamy and full of air. Now as I go to get napkins and silverware I find only spoons and plastic take out utensils available. When I went to the front and asked I told plastic was out there and not real silverware was clean. Little bit aggravating to go inside and not have real silverware.
So enough of the negative, on to the positive. They did go check for some clean silverware and found enough to put out. So I was able to start eating my salad before my meal was brought out. After a short wait my food arrived hot and fresh with a couple of breadsticks. As I at my food I noticed 3 people really working hard to get tables cleared and of course I didn't get any of their names. But those 3 guys were not table bussers; 1 took my order, 1 brought food out to tables and 1 worked the drive thru. In not time they had all the tables cleared and even offered more breadsticks.
As aggravated as I could have been for the inconveniences I got to see some guys work really hard to make up for the lack of staff and some staff that was not matching the same effort as these 3. I'm definitely glad to see the seating open even with the...
Read moreHmm... Well, after having eaten in the majority of restaurants in town, I finally got asked to visit Fazoli's with some friends. Right out of the gate, the first hit to their credit was that about every third/fourth table was filthy. There was food on the floor in the main dining area and the entire floor looked as though it hadn't been touched all day! I mean, I realize that these places get busy and that you don't always have time to be right on top of every mess, but seriously.. The place was trashed. On top of this, there was at least 4 people on the front line and at least that many more in the back and a couple doing drive through! Nine or ten people and no one is on DINING ROOM? Not a great first impression. The food took almost 30 minutes and was "ok" at best. I had Parmesan Chicken with spaghetti and the chicken was very overcooked and the spaghetti was bland and boring. The garden salad was pretty good and the breadsticks were the highlight of the meal(that's pretty sad for an italian restaurant tbh) I am going to have to go back and try again with a completely different order before I make a final judgement on this specific location, but as of now it's a two star waste of time. Not a place I personally would recommend, but it deserves a second chance. Who knows, maybe the next time will be much better! Pros: nice people/well set up/nice looking interior Cons: quite expensive/slow/not clean to restaurant standards/food is...
