Fine if you shop in person. But I placed an on-line order for pick up the same day. The site is difficult to navigate, it does not give you a running total of your price at the top-you have to click on your cart and go to new page to see where you are at with your spending. It never asked me if I wanted to add an alternative person to pick up my order. It sent me a TON of texts, like probably 15 for just that one order. Constant texts saying 'Rachel' or whoever is filling your order. It has a place to put notes to the person who is filling your order, but she says she can't see the notes, so how is that useful? I almost got substitutions for things that I didn't want. Luckily I texted back and got it resolved. It doesn't allow you to specify what subs you want. The shopper has to cancel/refund each out of stock item separately and you have to approve it one at a time. I did text an actual person who was doing my order. I ordered on a desk top computer, and I think that caused me some issues. I won't use the service again it was such a pain. They use their own bags, I just want items put loosely in the cart, I can bag them myself using my own bags at my car, but they don't have an option for this. At walmart you can just call when you arrive, but not this, you have to have a phone/data and an app installed to let them know you are there to pick up. I tried finding an actual phone number for the local store to call and ask about things but there is no numbers published publicly for any aldi, just a generic number that goes to a recording that hangs up on you. So if something happens and you are going to be late picking up, or you want to ask about a specific product, you cannot. As far as I see there is no way to see the ingredients list for any products, so you just guess at what is in the food, if you have food allergies, or want to know the sugar content etc, there is no way to see it. It does charge you a fee to use the service but I found that out after the fact, as it is not disclosed prominently on the site. The FAQ section is worthless, too generic and dumb to be useful. The site does not work smoothly, too many things to click on, it's tedious. It took so much time, I could have just shopped in person by then. I hated the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis staff needs to be more empathic with their clientele. I clearly had back issues. I had things in boxes when I came up to checkout. I was asked to take out everything of the boxes. Ive had others who check out the things from the boxes, but okay. I placed the items in the box with the box on the spindle so I could stand straight to empty them and not bend. She said she understood that. Then I asked if the pumpkin needed to be on the spindle. By this time, the cart is empty except for the pumpkin. She had not started checking out yet. She said leave pumpkin in the cart. So she waits until I get the cart even with the other cart next to her and asks me to transfer the pumpkin into the other cart instead of just using the cart with the pumpkin. I am in physical therapy for my back for the second time in three months etc. Why she couldn't just trade out the cart with the pumpkin in it I don't know. My shopping experience is not a Dr office for observation. I prob won't come to this one again. If you do come here, don't expect help.
Secondly I know I cleaned my cart handles. Are they cleaning them between people using them and trading between clients at the register?. I don't think so .. I better...

The fresh produce, the selection, the prices, and the fact that they don't contribute to plastic pollution are all AMAZING things about Aldi. Those are the reasons I will continue shopping here.
This was my 3rd visit to Aldi for groceries. I'm newer to Spfld. The customer service is terrible. There are no manners, no hospitality. The employees seem stressed out and that angst effected me in the store. I felt super rushed and bossed around. I tried to engage conversation with my clerk and he was totally impersonable. The other lady working the register spoke unnecessarily loud and it was clear to everyone in the store that she was irritated that there were people she had to serve š.
Customer service is SO important. I hope that this particular issue is addressed.
As great as the deals on goods are, if the customer service was even a hair better, Aldi would easily earn 5...
