Not one big thing. Several annoying factors.
Confusing hallways. My room was located through 3 heavy doors. The first 2 doors were not labeled and looked like fire escapes.
No one could find a luggage cart. It took me about 2 hours before I was finally able to get everything in the room and relax.
The mattress too thin, not comfy.
I liked the restaurant but not a 'cool' bar. No music.
Pros;
The food was good.
All the employees I met were very nice.
Room was clean.
It seems a good hotel with the pool for families.
This is the first time a hotel left a text on leaving a tip for housekeepers.
The 2 nights I stayed I didn't have my room cleaned but I always leave a tip in cash.
In conclusion, If the weekend rates weren't high, I'd have lower...
I’ve read through a lot of these reviews and noticed that a-lot of negativity was just pure complaining about anything and everything. No hotel stay is perfect, but let me tell you something about Oasis, General Manager, Front Desk Chelsey, and the Massage Therapist. I have stayed at Oasis for 4 years now for our church annual conference and on other occasions visiting with my family, and I have never found a better and safer place to stay at!! I have had a few hiccups during a few of my stays, but after talking to staff and sitting down with Missy (general manager) and explaining calmly about what all occurred, they went above and beyond to rectify the issue every single time! I wasn’t just blown off or shrugged away, the problem was corrected and dealt with. The massage therapist Jessica, is an amazing loving person who has a heart of gold! She went way out of her way to arrange her schedule so I could include my husband at the last minute on one occasion, and did the same thing with my friend when I came back for a girls trip! She even gave me a bag of her own stash of chocolate to cheer me up when I was having a rough start. Missy (general manager) is an amazing person who has a loving heart and caring soul!! She is extremely talented and friendly person who went out of her way to make sure I was able to provide a pool party for my nephew who was turning five, and as well as going out of her way to rectify the mishaps that occurred in my previous stays!! Chelsey (front desk evening shift) went above and beyond to also help rectify the hiccups during my stays! I have traveled tremendously between 2019-2024 and stayed in hotels at least 2 times a month, all over the East Coast and Midwest, but I have never came across any hotel that I felt like I was a part of their own family till I came to Oasis!! The staff hotel family has became my own family away from home and Oasis will always and forever be my go to place for my church conferences and vacation hot spot trips even if I still had hiccups in my stays!! To the owner- you should promote Chelsey!! She has amazing personality and works extremely well with and while under pressure!! She is amazing at correcting the mishaps!! 😊 I love all the amazing loving friendly staff who have a heart of gold and always saddened when my check-out time comes! I can’t wait till I come back in two weeks and again in...
Read moreHere's the review I left to describe the issues that lowered my rating: It felt like our stay was full of minor annoyances that made this hotel not worth it for my family. Check in was very slow although the staff was friendly and helpful. After a slow check in with two kids, I see a pizza menu from the hotel restaurant under the TV. It felt like a great relief to see I could order pizza for my kids after we swam. When I called to order they told me the pizza oven was down for the week. Disappointing but I understand things happen.
The next day we come back to the hotel in the afternoon and the indoor pool is closed for cleaning. After waiting a bit I go to the front desk and find out that the pool is closed for the day. I paid extra to get a room that opens to the pool as part of our vacation plans. I understand it needs cleaned but I wish the sign would have an opening time on it because my kids asked me about it a million times. There is an outdoor pool that was open. (Added after checkout) I went to the front desk around 8:50 to find out if the indoor pool would be opening at 9 and was assured it was but walked away feeling like a nuisance to the front desk staff. The inside pool was opened just before 10. With an 11am checkout, I definitely felt like I wasted money on a hotel that seems to promote an indoor pool that i didn't get to use. This may not be a big deal to some but the indoor pool was the deciding factor in choosing this hotel.*
At breakfast, my 5 year old decided to check out a beer bottle left in the seating area. Not a major issue but a walk through by staff should have caught it. There was also a small water bottle left under a table in my room that was overlooked by housekeeping.
It's a decent hotel and within 15 minutes of most of the thing we wanted to do. I paid a little extra to stay here because I thought the indoor pool would make keeping kids entertained between outings a little less stressful. For my family, it wasn't worth the extra $50 a night I would have spent at a...
