let me tell you about my stay at Best Western Coach House in Springfield, MO.
I have waited the 3-5 days for a manager to return my call to corporate (I made my complaint Sunday at 11:30 AM.) Today corp tells me that they got a hold of the hotel manager, Madison, but she was stepping out for the day and should return my call tomorrow. I called the hotel, and they told me Madison was on a phone call, and she would call me back when she was done.
Why is it okay to let her “step out for the day” when she has had FIVE days prior to this to contact me?
We stayed here last weekend, 5/21, and 5/22. The room seemed okay when we first got there. Within a couple of hours, we started noticing more and more issues. We spoke to the front desk; they had no more suites available. They offered to call their other property, but we declined as we had already unpacked all of our things, and we were told we would be “taken care of” for the stay.
The ants were horrendous. I understand it has been raining, but this isn’t one or 2 ants, and it’s not just ants. The hot tub in the room was missing covers, and the only button that workes was to power it on. There was left attire from the prior tenant. Oh, and when the neighbor used their shower, it turned ours on.
In no way were we expecting to stay for free. However, when we checked out, they applied a $12.50 a night credit. $25 for the weekend. If we would have known this was the case, we would have stayed elsewhere.
There are positives to this place- the staff was friendly, the bed was great, and prime location.
However, this isn’t even about the original stay anymore. This is downright horrible customer service. I cannot IMAGINE corporate calling me to tell me they have an upset customer that has been waiting for a response for 5 days and me telling them that I am stepping out for the day. Take a step back, and I can’t imagine letting an upset customer go 5 days to begin with.
We will NOT be going back to a Best Western EVER. Their corporate is just as bad as their independently...
Read moreRoom: very outdated considering, but they did have updated TVs, the beds were decently comfortable somewhat firm without being too firm. We were in room 139, and there was a bit of damage on the wall. Smells wise, when you first enter you do smell a bit of an (as kids would put it) old people smell.
The breakfast wasn't appetizing for us sadly, we don't trust eggs most places anymore after getting sick a few to many times. The biscuit and gravy looked a bit bland personally, but I'm picky. Grabbed a sealed pack of Cherrios for everyone before leaving.
We brought our pup with us (husky) and only cost an additional $10 btw.
Shower was a bit cramped, with an older top down shower head. Water pressure was a bit low, and couldn't get the hot water to scorching hot, but warmer then other hotels we've been to. The bathroom itself is about medium sized when compared to other hotels/motels as well.
Service: for our 1 day service I only talked to one person and she seemed nice, and that was during check-in. So absolutely no issues there! But didn't go above and beyond hence the 4 stars.
Location. Depends how you think. Good luck making a left turn as the traffic getting out can be crazy, but it's close to many restaurants and the highway!
I've attached a picture of the damage also, and this picture was about 5 min after checking in, before we even got the husky in there (5.5 year old pup that gets medicine at times for traveling for anxiety. So couldn't...
Read moreOn May 4-5 2023 We went to Springfield for a seminar on municipal law. We chose this hotel for several reasons. It was a three star hotel, and within 10 minutes of our location for the seminar. We like the fact that you could park right in front of your room. The room is very clean and it had no funny smell that a few people have said in their reviews. The beds were clean and comfortable with lots of pillows that were also nice. The room was it a decent temperature and had an adjustable thermostat. The refrigerator The room was it a decent temperature and had an adjustable thermostat. The refrigerator was cold was cold. Only thing that I didn’t care for was the coffee pot but they have coffee at the main office 24 hours a day, so no problem. I accidentally left my iPad in the room and they called and notified me that they had found it when cleaning the room and made arrangements to promptly ship it back to me. Honesty and integrity go along way in my book .Oh, and while it seem like they were pretty full, it was very quiet, but very well lite up and I felt quite safe. There are a number of dining options quite close by. It makes that quite convenient and I would gladly stay here again and recommend to anyone...
