First. I had an excellent and relaxing meal tonight - my first there.
HOWEVER, I FEEL TERRIBLE!
Why?
Well it was not a planned meal and i did not even know they had opened, or, even what was going in this building under (re)construction. Just hadn't been by here much i guess.
Yet, it was approaching 8pm and I had just (FINALLY) obtained my prescriptions from CVS across the street when I Googled, "Places to eat near me."
And while that search pulled up places like Mariahs and other establishment no where as near as Feast Buffet was from me (maybe 40 )yards, I did a little more research and ended up calling them and asked,"is it too late to try you all out for my first time?"
And while it was getting closer to 8pm, the young lady informed me that I had until 9pm when they closed. I decided to take a chance...
It took time to navigate those pesky lights by Aaron's but I still walked in their door just before 8pm.
Something a little different right off the bat and was that you PAID FIRST. But once you paid you could hit any of the buffets food choices. From Sushi, to Hibachi, to more Japanese and Chinese servings and opportunities for an excellent meal... or maybe not? Time would tell...
For the first stop in my around the world choices, I, for the first time went for fresh sushi BUT NOT before making sure what was spicy or not! And boy did they have a lot of excellent offerings! I just took maybe five pieces before moving onto the hibachi. Now the process is similar to Yummy Bowl, a favorite place of mine, but they were another excellent choice if I do say so myself!
While I waited as the chef cooked my plate (I put too much on it - go figure) and I took that time to snap some pictures. Once that plate was done, I continued to move on down the line. And just like many restaurants of this type, they had way too many choices BUT ALL the ones I added to my plate(s) were very, very good.
I made it almost 2/3rds of the way before calling the gathering and found a seat. I asked for, and received my Diet Pepsi and began to unwind as l sampled the choices I had made.
I started out with the frog legs and the hibachi outcome which I for the first time had it cooked with NO SAUCES. And you know what? It was damned tasty!
My only disappointment were the frog legs for those that were left must-have been on a regiment of Jenny Craig for there was little meat on them. Yet, what they prepared were very tasty. I snuck in some of the sushi and ALL of it was very tasty as well.
As I continued to relax, sampling my choices and watching videos on my phone. I saw the time was getting nearer closing and while I went for one last plate for watermelon, I couldn't refuse the cold, iced mussels at the far end, along with a couple more Crab Rangoon, etc.
All of a sudden I saw that all the people that were seated after me had left and I was the only customer there, I let them know I was done and they could break the buffet down and finish cleaning.
Then, doggone it, most of the staff had accomplished that and I felt I better high tail it home! As I was negotiating the wet floor (mopped), one of the staff came over and offered a steady arm for me to safely make it out.
Great service.
Great food.
Reasonable prices with drink included and I was relaxed, full and very, very happy I tried them out. Even with skinny frog legs, and oh yeah, I wasn't too fond of their cocktail sauce but it worked, and those were the only two things that limited my very pleasurable visit and meal.
So, two thumbs up and a snap for FEAST BUFFET. It's clean inside too!!!!
Oh yeah, why did I feel terrible?
It didn't hit me till I got to my Jeep that I FAILED TO TIP!!!!!
HORRORS and I hope to make it up SOON but I was relaxed and well fed, so blame it on their service, quality and the rest...LOL.
PS I hope I can upload some pictures as that option doesn't appear...
Read moreI must say... Feast Buffet wasn't bad at all! It was actually pretty Good. With 40 items on the main buffet line, 30 items on the salad bar, 12 different desserts and 8 soft drink selections. For a family of 4, we spent $82.58($20.64 a person) for dinner... drinks included. The atmosphere was pleasant, nice neon lights and wood grain decor.... The restrooms were clean and the waitress Latonya(coco) kept our area clean, constantly clearing plates from our table making sure we didn't need anything. Now for food taste.... I ordered from the hibachi grill(made fresh to order). They had 3 different sauce choices general tso, teriyaki and soy... I went with traditional soy and it was 4/5. They had beef, scallops, shrimp, chicken, sausage, and a variety of vegetables. No rice, just noodles... I asked the man for rice and he went to get some for me. The main buffet line was impressive lots of Chinese goodies, beef and broccoli, black pepper chicken, general chicken, chicken broccoli, crawfish, salmon,Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes waay to many dishes to name... just trust me... impressive. They also have a appetizer section with egg rolls, crab Rangoon, Chinese chkn wings, egg drop soup and hot and sour soup. The salad bar was loaded with plenty of extras as well.. including fresh fruit. The soda comes with the meal and it was self serve, so for you soda drinkers Pepsi products with Tropicana lemonade for non-carbon drinkers. And if you have room for the dessert... this one pie with chocolate crust whipped cream pecans and caramel was The Bomb!!! You gotta try it. In a world of familiar faces, let's just say I seen one. If you remember the Hibachi Buffet by Chucky Cheese, You will definitely enjoy this one. Same people, different location iykyk. 4/5 easy... definitely...
Read moreThe people complaining about this newly opened establishment are RIDICULOUS. Y'all complaining about the dishes offered being the same ol', same ol'...how many different Chinese dishes do you think there are on a buffet? They're ALL standard. Do you say the same about Mexican restaurants? Do you whine about the prices you pay for a cup of Starbucks coffee, every day? Complaints about having to get your own drinks? Good grief! You'd think that would be a good thing. Otherwise, you'd complain about slow refills. Seriously! Stop being lazy and petty, America! They're still in soft opening; trying to work out the kinks, like any new restaurant. I visited for the first time yesterday, and got takeout. It's not spread out like the previous restaurant, no. But it's not rocket science to navigate if you show patience, and common sense. Don't behave like the world is going to end if you don't get the last piece of something before they cook more. The sushi selection was large and very appealing. Everything was fresh and delicious. The establishment itself was very clean. And the general manager I spoke to could not have been sweeter. Someone mentioned her being rude. I don't believe that for a second. The general PUBLIC can be rude, and if she was stressed, I'd hardly blame her. I would be, too, if I had to deal with some of y'all. Overall, it was 10x better on first impression than the former buffet down the street. Give them a true chance. No restaurant is going to be perfect in its first months open. Show some support for small business, or stay home!! Just keeping it real with my opinion. I honestly suspect some of these negative reviews are from trolls, and/or competitors. Because a few of them seem to be new reviewers, or chronic...
