We've been coming to Flashback Grill for a few years and it has always been great.
The staff does an A+ job, friendly, attentive. The restaurant is always clean, and decor is fun.
The last couple times we've been in the food has been so disappointing.
I got a club sandwich, unfortunately the turkey was all one solid piece of fat, which was very strange, must have been the "end" part of the deli turkey breast.
My wife got chicken fried steak which had a soggy under(not browned) fried crust and the gravy was flavorless beyond some pepper.
Another visit my wife got the "living on the edge" burger, usually that's my favorite. It was Saturday 4/16 at around 11 am. She said the burger was lukewarm, flavorless, jalapenos seemed like they had been fried, then reheated. Her words were "it seemed like it had been prepared earlier, and had been sitting around since before we came in".
A year ago Flashback Grill was one of our favorite places to go, what happened!?
Sorry for the novel.
We really want to love Flashback Grill again!
Update 1/11/24
Decided to give Flashback another try, and unfortunately i can't say i was impressed. I got the country biscuit bowl. Eggs were perfect, but the sausage patty and gravy were cold, and the biscuits were very dry and burned on the bottom.
Once again the servers were excellent, but the food still needs a...
Read moreMy wife an I have been going to the Flashback for the last 10 years. We thought it was a great place to eat. Well to day was the last straw. Once the covid restrictions were lifted the prices went up and up and up and the quality of service went down an down and down. But today was it, we were ushered to a table that was dirty, and we had to ask the waitress to wipe the table as it was dirty. When the breakfast was served, it was cold because it was served on cold plates. The pancake that I ordered with my breakfast, the center of the pancake was raw. I had to ask the waitress for the rest of my order, as they only brought half of it. A breakfast for two including a tip will cost pretty near $40. for a retired couple paying this amount with the service and quality dropping through the floor. It just isn’t worth it any more. Time for a new manager. I let the cashier know at the time I paid for the meal she did apologize for the issues and that was the end of that. For the first time obviously I left no tip at all. This place used to be a great place for any meal. I let the cashier know we would not...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming here for about 2 years and we order the short stack and the biscuits and gravy almost everytime. Over the years it's mostly been consistent except for there hours they keep changing. But today we ordered the same thing and was met with curdled gravy that I'm pretty sure did not have any sausage in it just tasted bad, and flat over cooked biscuits and chewy over cooked pancakes. Which is a shame because they have been perfectly fluffy light biscuits and perfect gravy and amazing fluffy huge pancakes but my wife's pan cakes this time was not good unfortunately. They keep changing cooks and today was a new cook and it was a bad experience. The only good part of this experience was the lovely waitresses they were very kind and understanding. So long story short as long as that cook is working there we will not be returning which is a crying shame because this was one of the last good diners around I loved this place and it pains me to say...
