We had a great time. Our server was very personable. The menu is ala carte style. The rolls served before dinner tasted great but were served in a basket that was way too big, making them seem tiny and not enough. I'd recommend rethinking the serving basket. We started with the Ceasar salad. Great tasting and plenty of cheese, great job. We had the house made bacon which was great but you were served three pieces of bacon with only two pieces of bread. The dish needs to be served with a steak knife, it's hard to cut the meat with and butter knife and fork. The bacon was tasty. The salad and pickled onions were great. We chose the ribeye, medium rare, it tasted great, was a little under cooked I'd say cooked rare but perfectly seasoned. The butters that were served with the steak were good, the blue cheese butter was far better than the crab butter. There was fennel or anise in the crab butter which I am not a fan of. The Mac and cheese was dry on the inside but the crust tasted almost like sweet corn bread. Yum. The the baked potato was great, loved the large cubes of real bacon. For drinks we ordered the house made lemonade and the black iced tea, both were so tasty. A little pricey but I think worth it, I hope Springfield can support it. The restaurant is dark inside but not too dark, personally I'd like it slightly lighter in there. My biggest complaint is how loud it is in there, they need to utilize some sound absorbing material on the ceiling and walls. The big question is would we come back..... Yes we would.

I was so disappointed with this place. They charge for salad, side and main dish separately. We ordered a salad and it was literally 4 strips of romaine lettuce with a sprinkle of toppings and light dressing (I wish I had a picture of it). Potatoes were bland. The rib eye was unimpressive and no better than you would get at a local bar and it was $60 a la carte. We were so disappointed we didn't even finish it. The atmosphere is like a low budget diner and doesn't feel like a high end restaurant. The wine prices are the highest I've seen for bottles, most of them were $80 or more. We had a bottle of wine, shared a salad and steak and the bill was $133. I had high hopes for this place and it was a splurge to take my wife out on date night. It was not worth it at all and ruined our night. I discussed my disappointment with the server and he didn't get a manager or discount anything (which isn't what I was really looking for). I implore you to consider other options rather than throwing away money at this over priced and over hyped restaurant.

A year ago, we had two previous good experiences here, and chose it for our anniversary dinner. According to their website, they prefer email for reservations. We emailed them on Monday and never received a reply. On Wednesday we called to confirm, and left voicemail, but again no response. On Thursday we finally spoke to someone and had to complain to get a reservation when they said they were already full. They criticized us for not calling, when we pointed out their website clearly states email is preferred.(see pic) We ordered the Tri Tip that we had ordered previously and enjoyed. This time, we received basic generic French fries, rather than the red potatoes they had before, with delicious seasoning and sauce. In addition, they charged us for the $60 12 oz steaks, when we ordered the 8oz for $28 each. We were so disappointed enough to not return again.

I communicated with the waiter I had a gluten allergy - he assured us the menu was “very gluten free” and named off a few items we couldn’t order. We ordered 2 hand rolls to start and the pork cheek bourguignon & 12oz ribeye. Hand rolls were a 3/10 max (king salmon one was overcooked the pork one was just…. Meh). Ribeye came out overcooked, definitely an 8oz not 12. The fries that came with both dishes were laughably bad. I had one bite of the pork cheek and immediately started having an allergic reaction. I was in shock as my partner tried to get the bill and get us out of there. Oddly, there was no acknowledgment or apology from the waiter. He came over looking confused and brought us our bill and then walked away and we never saw him again. I called the restaurant the next day to talk to someone about what happened, and the woman (i think the owner?) on the phone basically told me i was crazy and there was “nothing with gluten” they served me. I don’t and have never had this reaction without being served something with wheat. My partner then called and the woman was defensive & dismissive with him as well.

TLDR: This place sucks. It’s hard to see a local business struggle, but when they are so dismissive and hostile towards something so serious it’s hard to root for their success. The food was bad, the cocktails were bad, and the service was 0/10. If you’re going to serve me something im allergic to and then lie about it I would at the very least expect for that portion of the meal to be...

My wife & I went in for a nice dinner, looking for a decent spot for a good steak and other food. We made a reservation and when we arrived we were seated in a very nice booth.

However, we ordered our food and our app came - which we got the chicken nuggets because we thought it'd be fun :) They were very bland, a little grey, but very crispy. The sauce it came with was decent. Overall they were okay, but we didn't expect much as they were nuggets.

Our dinners arrived after some time and my wife got a $60 steak and I got tri-tip. The steak was less than 1/2 inch thick and that was literally the only thing on the plate. They did give her a small bowl of fries - which were good. The tri-tip I got was a small portion and the only side I received was fries. *Note: We did not choose sides, this is just how it comes.

Honestly, at the price points - I expected more. A $60 steak that looked like it came from Wal-Mart and was not cooked correctly & the Tri-Tip was half inedible fat. The flavor was overrun with their marrow sauce, which was decent and complimented the fries well. The steak and tri-tip were disappointing.

The steak had zero sear, was poor quality meat & very thin. The tri-tip was 1-2 bites of "okay" and then inedible fat. Some of the worst food I've had for $120+ dollars.

Service was decent, the person was nice but we didn't get a refill of our waters until...
