Fast service, great atmosphere, too bad the food is trash. Small portions, really bland, i had high hopes with all the postive reviews. I got the pho and spam musubi. It is literally plain white rice, spam wrapped in a sheet of seaweed paper. 2 of them for 5 dollars. It was honestly kinda gross becuz of how fatty the spam was.
The pho, i didnt eat til i got home 10 hours later. Right away i kind of figured it wasnt going to be good becuz i didnt see any fat from the broth at all, got me thinking they short cutted the broth, either no actual beef bones used and only beef paste or powder, or they were stingy with the beef bones. Little to no actual beef flavor, again, very bland as well, need i mention the portion size, for 12 dollars, its a small fist of noodles probably tennis ball size, with like 7-8 slices of beef. Waste of money. I was scared having a big menu would lower the quality of the food and that's exactly what happened. Sucks becuz friendly staff and quick service but food...
Read moreIf possible I’d give this place a half a star or lower. For being called Hawaiian BBQ this place doesn’t have anything Hawaiian. Not only have I been to Hawaiian many times but my family is native Hawaiian and this place is a joke. Throwing slice of pineapple on a plate does not make something Hawaiian, nor does selling Aloha can drinks.
Suggestion: norrow your focus and do your research. The items on this menu come from so many different places. Example being: Kim chi and bulgogi are Korean. Pho is Vietnamese; pad thai and pad kee mow is Thai; Gyoza is Japanese!! Where is the kalua pig? How about some loco moco, poi, lau lau, spam musubi? These are authentic Hawaiian foods. This restaurant is misleading in its name and should be changed. If people actually want something closer to authentic Hawaiian food I recommend finding the fast food chain L & L. At least they have actual foods you’d find on the...
Read moreIncredibly Disappointing. 15 Dollars for this Entree. So when I read "BBQ Ribs" of any kind on a menu, I expect SAUCE. Slathered over the whole piece of meat, bone and all. Thats what I THOUGHT BBQ Ribs were regardless if they're Beef or Pork. So what is this? Bland, is what it is. With a cup of some salty bland brown water-sauce to dip apparently. I know I got Beef Short Ribs so the shape of the pieces didn't surprise me. It's the severe lack of flavor or sauce of any kind. I don't know what they marinated it with but its no different than grilling a peice of shortrib with salt and pepper on a home skillet.
Had to use my own bottle of Mr Stubbs Mesquite BBQ Sauce to give it flavor. The Noodles my partner had were good, about as good as any Thai place. But these ribs were not at all like what I know Hawaiian BBQ to be in any way. Where's the...
