Joey G’s Chicago Dogs and Gyros — Restaurant in Springfield

6/2/2025: They've changed the name from Gyro Stop to Joey G's and repainted and otherwise refurbished the interior, but the menu is the same. I had a double cheeseburger with grilled onions. I like old fashioned burgers made on the flat top, and it was excellent. My wife had a Greek salad and french fries and also said they were excellent. Not sure why they changed the name, but it's still a very good restaurant.

Have eaten here for years, and we're taking out now because of COVID. The food is always hot, fresh, and well-wrapped so it gets home warm. The gyros are excellent, as are the other sandwiches. The corn nuggets are delicious, and Greek salads and other specialties...

I ordered through post mates. After waiting a hour and a half . They told driver they are no longer using any delivery services. I had to wait on hold for 45 mins to get them to cancel my order to not get charged. Gyro stop needs to let all delivery companies know they don’t want the service.

Since you replied how is it my fault that they have your menu. I was trying to buy from you. But like I said after waiting 1 1/2 hours to be notified by driver that you don’t do delivery services. Contact the services and have them remove your restaurant. I have reduced because of your...

I DoorDash from here pretty regularly, they are extremely kind people. The folks serve good food, a good attitude, and a welcoming environment. I've never walked in here and have not been greeted with warm faces and hot fries.

I love the special deals, subbing fries for curly fries, usually doing the Gyro Wrap or their Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. It's hard to pull off a pork tenderloin without it being a dry mess you have to mask with mayo and pickles.

I'm glad I work from home close by so it's a good excuse to walk about a 1,000 feet so I can justify...
