If you pick up a dozen glazed and they give you a prefilled box box double check them for freshness before paying. The box I got were AT LEAST 24 hours old as they were halfway to hockey puck status. By next day they had to be microwaved to be edible. Just gave one to my dog and she chewed on it for a solid 30 minutes, mind you I just bought them Saturday afternoon and stored them in a ziplock freezer bag like always. If you're gonna sell day old donuts at least advertise them as such and discount them. Instead of charging customers full price for half quality. Nobody has any kind of self respect at their employment anymore. It's a world full of throw away jobs with throw away employees. Employees don't care about their jobs cause they just go to McDonald's next door for the same pay, and employers don't care about employees cause they'll just replace them with the next person just working for the next pay check. I don't live in Springfield, just happened to be in the area, so it's easy for me to avoid this, I can just as easily stop in Bloomington where I've never received quality like this. But I sure hope the residents of Springfield don't accept this. Absolutely abysmal for Krispy...
Read moreHave always been a KK fan and patron. Until Saturday night. Pulled up to the drive-thru of the Spfd IL location at 10:02 pm not realizing they were closed. Why did I not know they were closed? The lights were ON both inside the store and on the parking lot. There was a car in the drive up at the window speaking to the window attendant. Pulled up to the order board (also turned on) and was greeted with “hi”. Proceeded to order 4 donuts and was then told “sorry we are closed”. It was 10:02 pm. Watched the car at the window continue to carry on conversation with window person which didn’t appear to be business. Had to BACK OUT of the drive up trying to avoid curbing the tires of our car while maneuvering the curved drive-up Lane. After all of this, as we exited the parking lot on the complete other side of the parking lot, all of the lights were still on. The driver of the car in drive up was still carrying on conversation ...yet they are closed. WHO KNEW?!?!...
Read moreFirst of all would like to say that for as long as we waited in line it was the most unorganized mess I have ever dealt with. I was waiting in line had to observe the workers were going as fast as they could but being unsanitary is nothing to forgive. The young man had gloves on and was scratching his sweat off his head and taking his hat on and off and proceeded to give out donuts how nasty I was surprised I was the only one witnessing this. So after I told the manager she only said which one no apology nothing. Good way to start off a franchise in Springfield ILL. Also I stated to the cashier how long it took for my donuts after I payed because they were taking all of them to drive through window and she told me that drive through was priority. Wow are you kidding me priority as I thought every customer was priority. I'm telling you if they don't get different management techniques they are going to become another hole in...
