Taqueria Chisme & Cafe — Restaurant in Springfield

Alright so prior to my second visit this restaurant had it going for them, people were genuinely nice and the food was great. Authenticity was alive and well here. Now we as Californians know Mexican food (at least us Latinos ) and to say the food was legit. However today was not at all worthy of even a star. The street tacos took 45 mins (street tacos people, and there wasn’t even a line), our food arrived cold, and they switched from making horchata the authentic way to using the powder packs all costing $39 dollars... not worth it. The food we received was different from what the menus description as in it said it had 5 enchiladas but we got a plate with 3 and rice and beans... The tacos we got we're so dry that no amount of salsa would help... I also needed just rice for my kid and asked for a side of JUST rice and got rice and beans... As for the in house flavor water.... The taste was just wrong, it was either made bad or it was spoiled... It was so so...

I made a review before. I've been eating here for 15 years. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant with the same 3-4 things slapped together with different names. This is a true, Spanish speaking, Mexican restaurant where Mexican people eat. This is the best authentic Mexican food you will ever eat and I'm a customer for life.
