I used to frequently order from Imo's as it is right down the street from my work. However, the last few months I have been terribly disappointed. To start was an order of Toasted Ravioli of which the lid to the sauce did not keep the sauce in, as I believe the sauce was too hot when put in plastic cup; the plastic lid must have steamed itself flat. There was sauce all over the "Toasted Ravioli" leaving it to be Soggy and Mushy Ravioli. I didn't complain this time...things happen, right. The second offense was sour spaghetti noodles that favored the taste of vomit. I did receive a refund for this one. I couldn't eat it and already spent my lunch break. Vending machine lunch it was. THE FINAL visit...took a friend this time. We ordered over the phone. She ordered lunch special that comes with garlic bread, requested extra garlic bread. When they said it would be xtra $, we told empolyee to cancel the xtra bread. He said he would. Upon pick-up the "cashier" still was charging over $3.00 extra to my friend. Which I replied, "That was to be removed. " He said he couldn't do it....he just handles the pizzas" and and he kept repeating the total. REALLY?! Then why is this person at the register!? She is not one to argue and paid it. He said that garlic bread didn't come with her meal. We get to our work only to find now she has 2 orders of garlic bread. To boot, I have ordered once again the Soggy & Mushy Imo's Ravioli. 3 STRIKES YOU'RE OUT!!!!!!!!!! DO BETTER!!!!! CARE!!!! I cared more at 15 with my first job. Read moreUpdated Review: My previous review was a few years ago. We didn’t go back for years, but one night about a month ago we called and specifically asked if they had updated their quality control on their pizzas. The manager said, “I don’t think we have made any specific changes to quality control, but we have a high turnover so the quality is likely better.”
The pizza was five star this time. It was equivalent to the IMO’s pizza in my hometown of Kansas City. The main corporate office told me a few years back that each store is independently owned, so they cannot monitor quality. Which was disappointing.
The reason why I am leaving a three star is because there is no guarantee of quality. If I wanted to gamble, I’d go to a casino rather than hope the restaurant is employing competent people or the company hopes that their owners care.
Previous Review: So disgusting. I am from Kansas City and recently moved here. Imo’s was my FAVORITE pizza place, but this location is disgusting.
The pizza crust is hard almost every time we order. One time only half of the pizza had toppings. They do deliver fast. Definitely try Imp’s, some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, but don’t try this one.
After 4 botched deliveries we stopped ordering from here. I did call to complain, but I was told that this is a “franchise store.” They told me that they would reach out to management, but never got a call back. I doubt I would have ordered again from this store, because they clearly have issues.
Don’t judge every Imo’s based...
Read moreImo's Pizza was delicious! There are several reviews on here talking about the cheese Imo's uses. Stop! It's not cheese whiz or Velveeta cheese sauce... it's provel cheese, it tastes creamier than most cheeses. If you walk in expecting traditional mozzarella pizza hut or domino's style pizza, you have mistaken. You will find the same style cheese at Garbos, and they are both delicious. So, don't be rude as it's you that doesn't know what you're talking about.
The "St. Loius" style pizza is spot on! We love it! Imo's had friendly staff and the restaurant was clean. We had the all meat pizza and the chef salad. Their house dressing was sweet and very good, had the ranch too, also very good. The Pizza came out hot and I will be honest I ate too much!
The only suggestion I have is they had paper plates and plastic silverware, which is fine but was a little hard to get the pizza on to the plate with a plastic fork. A pizza spatula would have been helpful. The plate was a weak paper plate so it was tricky to cut the pizza.
I recommend Imo's (if you are looking for creamy proven, St. Louis style pizza) and I will go...
