Larry's Restaurant — Restaurant in Springfield

One of the best restaurants in town. We are regulars and every time is a good time. The venue is cozy and inviting with old decor lining the walls and booths or chairs whichever you perfer. Restroom is single stall so sometimes you might have to wait but it has always been cleAn on my visits. Usually crowded but that lets you know its good. You will get to know your neighbors cause sometimes the only availability is to sit with them. You seat yourself else after you retrieve you food cafeteria style or sit and a waitress will be with you as soon as they can. Either option you will still receive excellent service from the staff. The staff are amazing. They all work together making sure everyone is taken well care of. You will probably receive some kind of service from more than one waitress. The food is try southern comfort food. Best breakfast anywhere fluffy pancakes, anyway you want eggs, homemade big biscuits and gravy is thick. Lunch is just as wonderful. Lunch plates meat and threes sandwhiches.. I have had all of it. My favorites are hamburger steAk and homefries with the fried okra (ask for it crispy). They have specials daily so make sure you ask and everyday they have some special sides like mac n cheese and tomatoes and squash and onions. Desserts are...

Larry's is a wonderful meat and three. I live close, but never go because I don't usually work in that direction. I sure am glad we went. This is a good one, folks. They open at 5am and close at 2pm, so make plans. There are two separate dining rooms. I think the extra is just for overflow. Seat yourself if you can find a spot (round 5-top tables to the left). Everything (I think) is on the menu. Tell your server what you want to drink, and if you are going through the chow line, or ordering something else off the menu. The service is rapidly efficient and surgically precise. A nice smile, a nod, and a wink. Perfect. My Dad and I both got Meat and Two Veg. Too hot outside for three. Drinks included, it was $18.68. Soo cheap for two people. It's worth getting fat. Take some cash for tips....

We were driving through this area and it was time for some food. We decided to visit Larry's Restaurant and were so happy that we did. We wanted breakfast and that wasn't a problem, they serve it all day. We had a ham omelet, and a veggie omelet that they happily added grilled chicken to at my request. Everything was delicious. The omelets, the hashbrowns, the fluffy biscuits and yummy gravy, the pancake.... we ate well and had food to take home. This place is busy! There is a drive through, and extra parking in the rear of the building that was much needed. We did not have to wait for a table. The service was prompt.
