WARNING DO NOT ORDER: Ordered fettuccine Alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs plus and extra side of meatballs at 8:00pm. Since their hours were till nine I did not think it would be a problem. They decided to close an hour early on Friday night October 10th despite multiple orders coming in and their hours being listed till 9pm. Went inside to pick order up at 8:10pm and was told there was no more fettuccine tonight and then another customer walked in and was told their order was fully cancelled and refunded because they decided to turn the fryers off early, who also was shocked since it was nearly an hour before close. Got home and realized I did not have the side of meatballs I ordered so I called and went back to get a refund. It was 30 minutes before close and the lights were off and close sign flipped. The worker was pretty obviously trying to get out early, and was happy to be rude to us customers so that we would no longer want to order, so they could close early. They also forgot to drain my girlfriend’s spaghetti noodles so her dish was like soup instead of pasta. I was going to go back and talk to the manager today but honestly it left me so upset I would rather the business fail. I will not be back, and from now on I will make sure to mention how horrible otts is anytime I hear someone mention food in any context. (Also, first we went to FDs, mechanical issues caused store to close, then another restaurant that had an hour wait probably because they are 1000% better than otts, so we decided to order otts as an easy option. Obviously I now completely regret thinking that. Why would a business that sells only 5 or 6 things be able to provide those things an hour before close. Silly me for expecting that of a business ) Edit: I would also expect a business to know how to handle catering. In reality all they do is make spaghetti and fettuccine noodles and 3 different types of sauce. These people make lasagna and 2 other dishes that are the simplest blandest versions of both ive ever had ALL DAY LONG EVERY DAY THEY WORK THERE but need to close early to make more of the same thing for their catering??? Not buying it! I could tell they were just closing early to GET OUT OF THERE TO GET ON WITH THEIR NIGHT, how do I know? Oh yeah because like I said earlier I showed back up at 8:30 and NOBODY WAY THERE. So I don’t think they were preparing for that busy day of catering like they want to claim. But even if they were then why not… idk… make it after you close like every other restaurant that caters and ACTUALLY MAKES MORE THAN 3 THINGS! To close early for catering when all you do is make pans of pasta is a lame excuse and shows how poorly managed this place is. Or maybe if you understood that and took accountability for your business’ faults instead of making poor excuses for workers this place might see an improvement. Truly everyone experiences loss and hardship and if you think that allows you as a worker or manager to EVER not give a stranger let alone a customer that enters your business during operating hours NORMAL COMMON DECENCY then you truly fail as a human being not just as someone in the food industry. I am thankful for the reply because it shows exactly how little this place cares about its customers. The customers not always right we are. Thank you for showing that’s it’s truly the OWNERS that are why this place is ruined not just a single crappy worker like I had hoped. They all act that way because they know the owners are worse. Do not give these guys your money this place is a joke pasta express is better you get way more food for the price plus they actually own seasonings. If that place is busy then avanzare, or nonnas, or Bruno’s. Literally the spinach dip pasta at fds is way better that’s anything otts serves. Anywhere else is better...
Read moreWe had Ott's cater our wedding reception and they were excellent for a number of reasons, but I also have some advice for anyone who wants to use their catering;
Now my advice: Ott's is pretty no-frills (which is what we needed) which means they also only provide styrofoam plates and plastic flatware. In order to get a little fancier, we ordered some disposable flatware from Amazon; they have plastic plates and flatware in sets that are quite fancy, metallic looking, or pretty much any other design you could need. And at the end of the night, they just go into the trash (or recycling, if that's your game) so clean...
Read moreLONG-TIME CUSTOMERS, BEWARE. The Ott's that you remember is no more. I've been getting food from Ott's since the early 90's, but my most recent trip there will likely be my last. The quality of the food, what little I received of it, was fine. However, the portion sizes are severely reduced. They had already reduced the size in the last few years, changing from a rectangle-shaped container to a square one. Now they've done it again, changing to a round one, and the portion of entree I received was pitiful.
That was bad enough, but the salad was even worse--it used to be packed into the containers, but now you only receive a small handful of lettuce.
And then there were the bread sticks--wait, no there weren't! I received exactly 0 bread sticks for my $7.50.
Ott's Pasta: Small portions, no bread sticks, but plenty of...
