Springfield, Missouri is so lucky to have Prairie Pie 🥧 Our favorite hands down was the Honey 🍯 Sea Salt 🥧 It was like a buttermilk pie with the addition of honey, and if you know me, you know I love Buttermilk Pie!!! When I get again, I will ask to have it a little less sea salt so it doesn’t overpower.

We also tried the Caramel Apple, Hibiscus Lemon 🍋 and Ameretto Chocolate Pies. All were delicious!!! I am a huge fan of Shortbread Anything so we went for the Rosemary Shortbread Cookie as well as the Nori Black Sesame Chocolate Cookie. They were both interesting and different. I feel like the Shortbread cookie would be great with a nice warm tea ☕️ and I will let you decide for yourself on the seaweed cookie.

They also have a little quant bar in the back if you want a cocktail or local beer 🍺

Just recently they have started selling pizza 🍕 by the slice on Friday and Saturday night starting at 5pm. It seems like the bar and pizza idea are to try and drive more business in to this cool little establishment.

I am still super excited to try the savory pies 🥧 and will give you an update once we try them. If you live Downtown Springfield it is worth a walk over to try something new. Or if you are taking a friend to tea and want to show them a new spot, this establishment has your name written all over it!

Thank you team at Prairie Pie for bringing something different to...

We visited for the first time yesterday, and we loved the space! It's very interesting!

Mia was working, and she was AWESOME! She was super friendly, knowldgable, and you could tell that she loved working there.

We ordered three items:

  1. Coffee chocolate cookie
  2. Curry vegetable pot pie
  3. Key Lime pie

The coffee chocolate cookie tasted great, but there are bits of coffee bean in the cookie which gave it a very unpleasant texture. If the cookie didn't have the coffee bean bits in it, it would be AWESOME. But, after taking a couple of bites, we stopped eating it because of the coffee bean bits.

My GF had the curry vegetable pot pie, and she enjoyed it! She said she wouldn't order it again because she didn't like that it was sweet and she wanted savory, but that didn't make it bad tasting. She enjoyed it. I think she was expecting something else.

We also had the key lime pie, and it was AWESOME! The graham cracker crust had so much flavor, and the pie itself was packed full of lime flavor. There are bits of lime zest on the top which helped give it flavor as well.

Our overall experience in the store was GREAT, and the product tasted pretty good!

We're planning on coming back and trying some of the other...

I've been wanting to get these pies for a while and I finally got to try the honey and sea salt today. Unfortunately, since recovering from covid, my daughter and I have a weird reaction where everything tastes too salty, so I won't take any stars off for that because that's not the pies fault. The texture was perfect. The crust was perfect. It did taste really good, I just couldn't handle more than a couple bites. It's a rather unfortunate lasting effect since salty sweet things used to be my favorite thing. We gave it to my roommate who has not had covid and he loved it.

I will be very happy to try a more friendly to our new taste buds pie later cause it's been a long time since I had such a good silky smooth pie with crust that...

Great restaurant, that's super inviting. The person that helped me with my order was very friendly and easy to talk with! I got 2 of each of their frozen pot pies and 2 pieces of their honey sea salt pie and pecan pie. The dessert pies are unmatched from anything I've ever had, I'd highly recommend getting either one. So far I've only had the chicken pot pie and it was phenomenal. They have cooking instructions that come with them to make it easy. I can't wait to try the other type I got. This place has made it on to my list of "must visit" for when I'm in town. They're awesome and definitely worth checking out!

We rushed here in the rain to try to beat closing time and the girl working was so nice and let us take our time trying to decide what to get and gave us recommendations. I got caramel apple which was delicious but not as good as the plan my boyfriend got she did tell us that the sea salt honey was very "honey" we got a mini pie, and it was good. But she was right strong on the honey. But I think the best was the savory items. The Bianca broccili was out of this world. As well as the Sicilian I think. Wowzers. Crunch, fluffy, crisp and flavorful. The black sesame cookie was pretty good also.
