Unfortunately, I will be removing Cherry Picker Package X Fare from my list of favorite places. Not because of the food or beverages, because of the rude service. A friend and I stopped by the other night 1hr before closing. It was empty, only the employees were inside. We ordered drinks and were possibly going to order food. After receiving our drinks, we asked if we could have a seat. The young blonde server informed us there wasn’t any indoor seating after we had already been served. It was wet and freezing outside so I asked if they could start the fire. He said yes only to say no immediately after a death glare from a woman with long dark hair who I am assuming is the manager.
It was very awkward for us and I could tell it was also awkward for the server. She was right in front of us making it clear with her unpleasant facial gestures that our comfort was of no concern to her. Adding to the awkwardness of the situation our drinks were dumped from glass into a cheap plastic cups as we were ushered outside. There wasn’t one dry seat outside and it was FREEZING! As we sat outside watching the employees unmasked in the warm building we finally had enough. We were so cold we sat in our car to finish our drinks. Definitely not the experience we were expecting!
I feel we should’ve been told about the seating situation before we purchased our drinks. That woman absolutely ruined this place for us! Her negative attitude, her absolute absence of kindness and disregard for customer care...
We walked across the street to Tie and Timber where the staff was very friendly and abundantly accommodating! There are plenty of other places that charge less and realize the importance of good customer service. I’ve noticed complaints about a rude woman that works at Cherry Picker Package X Fare in other reviews. This is something I hope they really look at because it’s costing them customers. It shouldn’t only be about the money.
Outside of our experience with this woman the staff is usually great, but that was a really terrible experience. PLEASE treat your...
Read moreMy favorite place to go in Springfield. Minimal food menu, but every item is delicious. I highly recommend the cheese plate, it is cheap compared to other restaurants' cheese plates and the dried mango that comes with it is amazing.
They only have 4 beer taps but consistently have beers on tap that I never see anywhere else in Springfield. Perennial, Prairie, The Bruery, and Jolly Pumpkin are a few of the breweries that frequently grace their tap handles. They also have plenty of bottles of wine (and even a few on tap) to choose from.
Most of the seating is outdoors on a wonderful patio. You may find yourself sitting and making friends with strangers on a busy Friday happy hour, which adds to the charm. Inside has a 6-top and maybe bar-seating along the windows for...
Read moreI always enjoy my visit here. They have a wonderful staff. The ladies really take good care of you. They make wonderful fresh homemade for here. I always come in for my espresso, cappuccino, or Americano. They have a great wall of different wines and liquors from foreign to domestic. They have sodas without corn syrup. I have had their twist on a tomato basil soup. It unfolded with flavor on the palate. You will have to come in and try all their delicious food. Make sure you tip the Ladies well because they make everything you will eat from scratch. That and they at College....
