My issue was with my order today, I ordered a 12 piece family meal, and have (weekly) at Popeyes for years. First experience ordering at this location though. I went through drive thru, ordered, and said, "can I have extra honey because we eat it on our biscuts, (myself, wife, and kids) and chicken too?" The General Manager of the store said rudely, "I can only give you so much honey" because "they", I am assuming corporate "will only let us give so much". So, I am thinking okay, 12 pieces of chicken, 6 biscuts, a packet per piece of chicken, and a packet per biscut, I can make it work, but NO, the General Manager of the store only gave me 10, not even enough for the chicken. So, I had to leave, go to the Grocery store, buy a bottle of honey because I know my kids won't eat it without it. By the time I got home, it was all cold.. not to mention both of my sides were only half full. I have never complained at a restaurant in my life. But, if a customer says, this is how I like your product.. with honey.. is it to much to ask to get a packet per piece of chicken? Is Popeyes going bankrupt? Is there a national honey shortage I am unaware of? I would have paid for the extra 8 packets of honey (2 for chicken, 6 for biscuts) to keep the Springfield Campbell location #11828 from going out of business over 8 packets of honey? But, instead I get a rude General Manager? Aren't they supposed to be the "leaders" the "tone setters" for customers and staff, but being rude, and unwilling to even compromise and then punish.. with only half filled sides is unprofessional. My order was #8, through drive thru Friday October 27th at 12:23pm, location #11828. I am no longer ever going to this location, and will be taking my weekly family chicken needs to KFC, Zaxbys, hell, after this I'd choose walmart fried chicken over giving this place my business. Read more2/26/23 I frequent this specific Popeyes quite frequently over the years here is what I've learned. They are notorious for lines don't expect to come to this location and get your food under 10 minutes. That's if there's no line. That's if they greet you at the menu board. Yes prepare to wait at the menu board for at least 1-2 minutes. And that's before someone even greets you to let you know that they're there to take your order. From that point they'll probably ask you to just come pull to the window to make your order you'll make your order and they'll usually be out of the chicken that you need or they'll say there's a 15 to 20 minute wait for the chicken you need or actually want they're usually out of spicy chicken they'll want to substitute with regular chicken. Quality of the food is hit and miss when you wait that long you would expect it to be perfect every time but the reality is the workers and that location have a very passive attitude. All in all I would skip this location there's KFC right down the street and realistically businesses like this that don't care about their customers need to be need the door shut on them. Have some dignity in what you are doing. 6/22/23 update this place is still disgusting. Went on a whim last night and was literally served fries that looked like they had been sitting out all day. After a few months we thought we’d give it one more try. Somehow you guys got worse. When we came up there were no other cars in the parking lot or in the drive-thru. No one answered the speaker so we drove up to the door. The lady so rudely said “What” we said we had a mobile order and she said pull up to the door. That was almost 40 minutes ago. There are now people that have come and then stormed off in frustration, one person who got their small order, and another car waiting. Also don’t bother calling or chatting corporate, I think they’ve given up. Just don’t come here period. I have worked customer service for 15 years, I honestly didn’t think you could act like this and have a job.
Every time we order the food is fresh if we get any. Half the time most of our order is missing, best case we are only missing one item. Today was the last straw as they had us wait 30 minutes, you can’t call to check on anything because their phone is always off the hook or dead, so went inside to find our food under the warmer where the bag had melted, receipt was burnt, the food containers were melting and we were still missing food.
To the owner response that is obviously a copy and paste reply, I have had this happen EVERY time and have “raised it to the proper blah blah” and the behavior has not changed. We will absolutely not be back. You should take notes from the Joplin locations, they’re awesome 100%...
