The menu says everything on it is 100% gluten free except for the bread. I inquired about cross-contamination of bread on the grill because I have Celiac disease, which means 10-20 ppm of gluten can make me extremely sick and cause damage to my body. Someone behind the counter told me the cross contamination of gluten isn't a problem here because the grill gets hot enough to take care of it. That's not a thing. Gluten doesn't stop causing an auto-immune reaction in a person with Celiac disease until it has been heated to over 1000 degrees F and turned to ash. I don't think they serve meat that has turned to ash. To make matters worse the guy tried to use his own unrelated GI condition as proof that the food was safe for me and that I was making a big deal over nothing which is lateral ableism. I wouldn't have left a review had I not experienced lateral ableism. Steer clear if you have Celiac disease or a wheat allergy--they don't understand the seriousness of cross contamination and take no measures to reduce it, despite inaccurately labeling their menu as 100%...
Read moreI went there for a pick up and was told that they were out of hummus. A restaurant serving levant style food that is "out of hummus" is beyond ridiculous.Especially when they're supposed to have some of the best hummus in town. Also there were "no plates" available either. The lamb "kebab", wasn't a kebab at all which is misleading. It was however, very delicious but it was "pulled",not in kebab form. The chicken was great too.The babaghanoush was very good. My takeaway is that it isn't a good place to go 2 hours before they close. The food I received was definitely very excellent, which made it worth going to,so I will try it earlier next time.I still would recommend this place, despite my...
Read moreHad high hopes after seeing so many beautiful pics. We ordered the baba ganoush (we forgot what the sprinkles were) and Falafel wraps. We didnt think the pita or lavash tasted fresh, and overall our falafel was very dry. The schug was so watery it spilled down our wrists while we tried to eat. We could not really taste/find the dill pickle or sumac onions. Mostly just heavy on the tehina and pickled cabbage. Glad we didnt order extra schug (normally love schug and even drizzle it over pizza) for $1 as we would not have liked it. Seating is spacious, great for groups, but the wooden benches aren't the most...
