This place is exactly what you would expect from your mom or auntie's house. Every order is appropriately timed because it's literally Mom/daughter/auntie in the kitchen making every dish to order. They remind you to take a break from the busy world and relax, enjoy your meal with people you love. A lot of dishes from South Eastern Asia are very similar but each country/region has their own spin on these dishes. You have to be open minded when you go to an Asian restaurant that is not the typical Chinese restaurant. If you didn't know, it's so different! Pho- So delicious! On the sweeter side because it is the Lao version, but still so herbal. If you're looking for more savory, less sweet, visit their sister restaurant, Pho Saigon, in Springfield. Literally all other noodle dishes are so good. Kua Mee is the most popular with kids, so if your kids are picky eaters, this is the dish to get. Papaya salad-so different from Thai papaya. This is more savory and spicy! Worth the try. Chicken wings/beef jerky/Lao sausage- total must try! Especially with sticky rice. If you want a traditional Lao meal, pair any of these with stick rice and papaya salad. If you have an open mind and a love for other cultures, you will...
Read moreI was dying to go here because of pictures and reviews. Well, overall, food was ok. Chicken was dry, and noodles were flavorful. Spring rolls were good, the peanut sauce that came with it, it was more watery, and the flavor was sour and spicy, not like the typical peanut sauce elsewhere. The 1st server that took our order was pleasant, but then a younger server came to "finish" taking out an order, and an appetizer was left out. I asked her if they had Mac n' Cheese 🧀 and she said, "The lady that makes them come later." Moving forward, the table next to us was brought an incorrect order by many items. I think there were very unorganized, different servers waiting on the same table, some of them very young, they seem they were younger relatives maybe? One thing that was super off-putting was this man, which I later learned was the owner's husband. He was loud, obnoxious, unpleasant, unprofessional, and unwelcoming, to say the least. I felt if I was eating in someone's family dining room instead of a restaurant. They were gathering at the counter and not paying attention to patrons. The food was ok,not amazing. Would I go back?...
Read moreI've been craving pho for a few weeks and didn't feel like driving to my usual spot to get it so I was super excited when I found this place on doordash to deliver some to me. To my disappointment, I received a box labeled "pho" (see attached, you may have to zoom in to see the writing on the box, was actually kinda hard to simultaneously get a pic of the writing and the contents within the box) with 2 spring rolls inside. I DID order spring rolls and actually received a second box labeled as spring rolls with 2 spring rolls inside. So long in short of it, I received 2 orders of spring rolls and did not receive my pho. I contacted doordash and got my money back, so this review is a warning to the restaurant to check your orders. Highly disappointed that this had to be my first...
