I was a customer for 7+ years. The food is decent - especially the salsa - but the service can be horrible. Recently, the server (son of the owners) got my order wrong (I wanted to dine in, he packed to-go). I didn't complain but said that I need a paper plate and started taking one - and he yelled (rather aggressively), "YOU CAN'T TOUCH THAT!". I stopped and and he said, "Wellll you already did, sooooo....". I said, "Bro, you handed me a to-go order when I asked to have it here, and I was saving you the trouble of fetching me a paper plate. You didn't have to be rude". He laughed sheepishly and walked away without even an apology. His reaction was highly unprofessional and immature, and turned what was perhaps a misunderstanding into an extremely unpleasant service experience.
I'm always mindful to be nice to people in the food service industry. I had even opened the door for him while standing in queue since he was walking out with a tray of food. So with that context, plus the fact that this was a grown man yelling at a customer over a paper plate 😂, unfortunately was enough to damage my long-time loyalty to this establishment. And I know that they're successful and I'm just another customer, but then again, this is just one of many nice Mexican food joints in town. So it...
Read moreThis is my 3rd review on this place in the last 2 years. It's hit & miss. Never the same size servings. 1/2 the time it's bomb & 1/2 the time is wack. I will NOT be returning because I watched the owner lady disrespect a purple heart recipient Vietnam veteran. That veteran stayed very respectful & calm. She talked to him like he was the biggest bother to her. It's like if she is so miserable being there. Everytime I go she is rude but I couldn't ignore it anymore after seeing how she was towards that older veteran. I will talk to her in Spanish (because she acts like she doesn't understand me when I speak English) and she responds to my partner in spanish. I'm just like dude if I'm talking to you in Spanish that means I can understand you when you respond.... anyways, The cooks look miserable. And the horchata is way watered down. P.s. when you read this, realize you must be respectful to keep business. You are already an older adult, you should...
Read moreHands down the best chimichanga around! The street tacos are always loaded with meat, and everything is fresh! It's an authentic spot, so if you like liquid cheese from a can and call it queso (except for the nachos, which you can sub for real cheese), this isn't your spot. They have langua and cabeza, so you know they are doing it legit as well as all the meats you'd get anywhere else. The breakfast burritos are big, and they use REAL eggs! Their sausage is the crumbly kind as opposed to the links you find in the breakfast burritos at Burrito Amigo or Burrito Boy, and I like it much better. All in all, it's a 🔥 spot, and you'll be better off for stopping by! Here's pics of the shredded beef chimichanga and a chicken torta!
They have Birria Tacos also, but on their menu, it's listed as Tacos Dorado Barbacoa. You do, however, need to ask for consome on the side (for $1) if you want...
