Thai-Me-Up — Restaurant in Springfield

Firstly did not know this was a food truck or would have been hesitant on the prices, but after the fact, did notice DoorDash marked up every single item a dollar, then there was $8 bucks in "fees", smh. The food a real toss up, the shrimp fried rice was the best dish and was well prepared though can tell they have very little in way of vegetables, as only onions and peppers (a disappointment), no herbs to speak of, but it was a solid 7 as enough to share, and the shrimp were fresh, the raw cucumber hit this up to 7.5. Please add to more dishes! The pork eggrolls were a 10, could have eaten the order of 3 myself, delish. Crab rangoons only has 3, another disappointment as meant one of the dinners only got one, they were average Spfd style, but had a little more filling than most, but not really crab. Not bad just could be worked on. The last dish the issue is a big way, it was inedible, the tofu pad thai. The noodles were clumped, no taste, tiny squares of tofu that were overcooked, and just blah, nothing else. Tofu is my staple so yea a $40 lunch with one entree being the worst pad that I have ever had is why the low score. If they can not make this dish right, take off menu. Honestly. I will not try again as a Thai place messing up pad...

I was in that area for coffee, but this place caught my eye. I asked for their recommendation between the Spicy Basil and the Shrimp Pad Thai to which they responded, “try both!” And now I wish I did.

Let’s start with the Crab Rangoons; These were without a doubt the best house made crab rangoons I’ve ever had. Crispy, flaky, and stuffed full. Let’s not forget about the sweet n sour sauce. Usually, I’m not a fan. But this stuff was INCREDIBLE. You get 3 crab rangoons for $6 with is more than fair with how delicious they are.

The Shrimp Pad Thai. Mindblowing. Spicy, sweet, and they don’t skimp on the portion. The red pepper/spice blend does come in a separate container so you can make it as spicy (or not spicy) as you’d like.

Finally after going to all this thai restaurants I finally found real thai food and not American thai food with no taste. I travel to Thailand at least twice a year so I can go eat all this amazing food and now I finally can get it at anytime locally, their pad thai is just as thecsame taste as thailand some people will ether hate it or love it but this is the real deal their pineapple, thai basil is so good, and is so hard not to stop ordering from this place, the staff is so amazing and they keep their food truck so clean and same with their pavilion, is very nice and welcoming.
