White Lion Brewing Company — Restaurant in Springfield

This is White Lion brewing company in Springfield, where they make good beer and have a kitchen and serve food. The chef must have been on vacation, thus "Low Brow," because although my burger was cooked medium, the rest of what came with it was "meh" mediocre pub food (pink tomatoes, stiff lettuce, too much red onion, some sort of mayonnaise based dressing (i am allergic to eggs, and stated so to the server, but was served egg-based mayo dressing!?), and french fries that had no flavor. I expected better food. The other party with me had Fish and Chips, and instead of large hand-cut fries (known as "chips"), had the same pile of bland white potato sticks I had. Their fried and heavily breaded fish was a bit greasy and gave them indigestion. We sampled beer by 3 flights, each sample costing from $3.55 up to $5.95 depending on some unexplained factor. The beer was pretty good, but the price of the beer was outrageous! All told, dinner cost $110 with the 18% tip. Missed a ton of seasoning and attention on the meal part. The flights are too pricey. Have an idea what you want before you visit White Lion, or be ready for pricey pub fare. "A" for good beer. But the food service side...

Love this brewery. Amazing beers, amazing hand crafted food, and great bartenders. They have an open concept type of kitchen, and it was cool to view the cooks make stuff. Very attentive kitchen! Bartenders were so nice!

We will definitely try to come back again next time in the area. Only issue is parking. On street nothing was available around the area, and we had to park in the square parking garage. Took forever to find an entrance. Biggest nightmare if you are trying to get back to your car at 9pm when White Lion closes. The gate to the elevator in the mall was closed. We had to go outside walk around the whole plaza with not a single door to garage. Ended up going through the Marriott, and taking 2 elevators to get to our car. Not a great experience if you are staying at White Lion till close. Paying for parking, can’t the mall let you get to your car safely? Another couple risked going up a ramp to get into the garage!!!

Love this place, just need a safe way for people leaving at close to get back to...

Last year prices of all drafts were $5, most fell between 4 and 6 ABV. I went this week, and was surprised bill came to $8.65 for an IPA 16oz draft that was only 7% ABV. A flight came to $4 each x 4 (4oz) glasses for $16... Along with 7% tax on top this just to get beers.... Too expensive, they are not the Tap Room at MGM, which has OK beer but have prices even more than they do now. I can expect maybe $7 for a draft in the Springfield MA market, but not $8.65+tax. Will not go back. As far as the beer Taste goes, it is good, depending on what you get but will get my beer elsewhere now. One more thing, they don't post prices now on Beer boards... you get surprised when you get the check... they get 1 star for this... what am I suppose to do, ask the beer tender the price for every fxxxing beer? what if I was low on cash and had to ask? Do the beer tender's know every price in their head? I don't think so, and they would have to look it up for you as prices vary among all drafts... don't like using credit...
