Amazing show. Better than any Rock Concert I've been to. Anxiously awaited for orchestra to play IN THE MOOD. When they came back from intermission Boom, they started to play. The crowd was cheering. They added a little light show at the high point of the movement! The crowd went crazy. When In the Mood ended, I stood up and yelled: "ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!" The crowd joined in!!!! " ONE MORE TIME, ONE MORE TIME!" Eric, the Band Leader said: " THIS has NEVER happened before!" He looked at the Band, the Band looked at him, they shrugged their shoulders as to say What the Heck ... Let's Do It! They began to play full force, even more excillerating than the First time. The lights were swirling in color, the crowd was cheering and clapping as well as dancing in their seats!!! It was amazing. Sounded like Glenn and his band were there in Spirit. So surreal. At the end, the crowd was on their feet yelling with praise. People in front of me, turned around to high five me and shook my hand to thank me for getting them to play it again. What a feeling. Eric said: " that has NEVER happened before. A psychedelic epileptic light show makes a Springfield Massachusetts crowd go crazy and brings you to your feet?! Amazing!" As we exited, people were thanking me for getting them to play an encore. Even the police officer who was on traffic duty, and crossing guard asked if I was the one who got them to play IN THE MOOD, again?! I said" " Yes! THAT was Me!". He said: "Thank you! THAT was awesome!". What a great feeling I had. I haven't been to a concert, or even OUT, for years, due to financial and health issues. I was lucky enough to win 2 tickets on WMAS 94.7 radio, and so appreciative. What a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon. With a newly recent friend I made, who has the same love and appreciation for Big Band Swing Music. Made it so enjoyable. I would definitely go again. Wish my Dad was alive and my Mom, they would have loved it. Best Show EVER! (I HAVE VIDEO, IF I CAN POST IT, I WILL) I DEFINITELY STRONGLY RECOMMEND SEEING THE GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA...
Read moreAttended the Theresa Caputo event last evening at the hall, my first time at this locale. It's historic architecture and prominence in the city cannot be overlooked. It felt like I was walking back into the 19th century. Many aspects of the building were beautiful, assuming you did not wish to sit down. The spacing of the chairs, side to side and from front to back, was exceptionally small, not to mention the pitch of the hard wooden chairs. Whether you are a person of reasonable height or weight, forget feeling comfortable; on the higher end, you will be in agony! Many people chose to get out of their chairs and stand or even leave early. It was very difficult for these individuals to comfortably enjoy the show, including me. Also, you can forget about safe distancing one's self from others for health purposes. I will not ever return to this facility, for any reason, because of the lack of comfort. Due to the sell out crowd last night, it is safe to assume others choose to overlook this overbearing discomfort. Because of it's historical importance in the city, one would think they would bring the building into the...
Read moreI Will never forget this experience. I have always wanted to go and experience such great talents. Late I was getting there. Rushing to get in. Never been there before so I had 0 knowledge of what to expect. Talk about courtesy and professionalism. Yeah. All in one place. From the gentleman who greeted me after opening the door for me, to the security team. You are the best. As I waited for one lady ahead of me to get her ticket I was agitated (late) I asked the person on my right if I was in the right line. She said yes, a little conversation followed about amount of tickets I needed. This was solved in a split second she handed me a ticket and said enjoy. It's on me. I teared up. I was blown away with the service and kindness that I was met with. There I was running up the stairs in high heels. (Quietly) I met Charlene and he husband Al who sat next to me. would I do it again? In a heartbeat. Bug's Bunny next in May. Thanks for the greatest experience at my first visit. The show was...
