The first time I walked in, it was a scalding hot day in the middle of June, and I was immediately greeted by Halloween-themed pastries, decorations, and even a trick-or-treat bowl at the register. But after I bit into the salted caramel croissant, I knew that the only thing spooky about this place was the damage it was going to do to my waistline. I’m typically not big on croissants: I haven’t been on good terms with the French ever since Air Canada lost my suitcase a few years ago, and usually I almost always lean towards more chocolate-forward selections at bakeries. But this was not the case for Pint Size Bakery’s salted caramel croissant. The salted caramel croissant is undoubtedly the best croissant I have tried in any STL bakery, and honestly I think it’s even in the same tier as places that are nationally renowned for their croissants like Arsicault Bakery in San Francisco. From the sugar crunch on the top, to the crisp of the classic croissant outer layer, followed by the soft butteriness of the base layer, and finally concluded with the salted caramel filling at the bottom — each bite provided a whirlwind of experiences that I couldn’t get enough of. I’m not one to even crave croissants to begin with, but this may be the first bakery that has me routinely crawling back just for a croissant. The lil’ Twix tart and the cookies n creme cinnamon roll were also tantalizing to the taste buds, and I was very happy with both of these. If you need something else besides croissants to round out your pastry box, these are both great additions that you can’t go wrong with. Pint Size Bakery is at the absolute pinnacle of the STL pastry game. It is undoubtedly one of the best bakeries I’ve tried in STL, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who craves Saturday morning sweets. Items ranked from most favorite to least favorite (with least favorite still being tasty!): 1. salted caramel croissant 2. chocolate sea salt caramel cupcake 3. mint chocolate sammie & espresso brownie (very rich!) 4. Portuguese custard tart 5. chocolate salted caramel sammie 6. pumpkin cupcake with rum chata buttercream 7. chocolate cupcake with chocolate buttercream 8. lil’ Twix tart 9. lil' pumpkin cheesecake 10. churro lil’ bundt 11. cookies n creme cinnamon roll 12. pumpkin chocolate chip lil' loaf 13. chocolate cupcake with chocolate buttercream icing 14. blackberry gooey brown butter tea cake 15. strawberry whoopie pie 16. macaroni and cheese hand pie

We were recommended Pint Size Bakery by our wedding photographer. She said they were the best wedding desserts she's ever had and that they were priced really well. I looked them up, realized we live super close by, and immediately went to see what they were like. Their baked goods and coffee were amazing so I was immediately sold, and thankfully they were available! We wanted a small cake for us to cut and then a variety of cupcakes for guests. Nancy was super helpful and flexible in figuring out how many cupcakes to order. AND everything was delicious. We got the Drunken Pumpkin cake flavor and a wide variety of cupcakes. There were only 4 cupcakes left at the end of the night. Highly recommend Pint Size Bakery for wedding desserts. And if you're not in the market for a wedding dessert, their regular bakery items and coffee are also to die for. 5 stars all around!

Being from KC and having loads of local bakery and coffeehouses like this, it was so fun to find one in STL. My friends and I got a variety of treats. Don't ask me to choose because I loved them all. The asiago broccoli scone, grapefruit crumb cake, and brown butter rhubard tea cake being in the top running. And they serve khaldi coffee which is a win for me, but adding it to the kick-booty honey spice syrup that they make in house?!? Nailed it! Plus in the pint size mugs that are so cute. This environment is so bubbly and the staff were very engaging and educational. Love love love it and I'm sad they're far away from my home.

Maybe it was an off moment for them but I was not felt welcome in this shop at all. I came in to pick up my $70 cake, there were 3 workers and 2 people ahead of me. Not one person greeted me. The 1 person in front of me was finished and the lady didn’t make any sort of eye contact even just to say “someone will be right with you”, the couple in front of me also finished up leaving just me to be waited on. I smiled at the lady thinking she would finally greet me and help me but she just turned around and walked away! I think the guy working caught the awkward exchange and he finally checked me out. A little courtesy goes a long way. I work in service and no matter if we have 10 people in line.. when we see someone walk through our doors we greet them and assure them we will be with them soon. We appreciate people walking through our doors.. giving us business. I have no problem waiting in line but I should be acknowledged at least, especially when I’m the only one left to be waited on.

As far as the pastries.. they are great. My visit wasn’t my first time trying them but my first in store visit. The cakes are extremely sweet for my tastes though. The buttercream is delightful but when paired with the cake it’s a bit overly sweet. The cake was a bit dry as well. Very underwhelming. The other pastries I’ve had from there were very...

I cannot say enough good things about Pint Size. I live about 5 minutes away and it’s amazing that I haven’t spent all my money here. The scones are absolute perfection, truly the best scone I’ve had in my life! I love the savory ones in particular and love how the flavors vary daily. The scones are buttery, flakey, and tender, with a perfectly golden exterior. They’re so full of flavor, and the best breakfast item! Next up is the oatmeal cream pies: a true stunner and an absolute must if you go here. Chewy, buttery, cookies with hints of molasses from brown sugar perfectly encase light, fluffy, marshmallow buttercream filling that feels like you’re eating a sweet, pillowy cloud! Also, do not skip the blondies!! These also vary in flavor daily, which is so fun because the flavors are always so creative! I recently had some kind of chocolate hazelnut praline blondie and it was sheer perfection. Again, buttery but not too sweet, tender crumb, the delightful crunch or candied hazelnuts, and pockets of chocolate made it something I never wanted to end! Go here and support an amazing, small business that works hard to use local ingredients and give you the highest quality baked goods! You will not be disappointed, you will only fall in love with how great...
