The restaurant was clean. The beer selection looked great. We had the egg scramble, chicken & waffles, and a waffle w chocolate and strawberry drizzles. I do not know what was actually in the egg scramble. Eggs that tasted like they weren’t fresh, cracked eggs. There was some type odd something that may have been listed as a potato, but tasted like what I guess a yoga mat would taste like. Everything in the egg scramble just tasted like it wasn’t fresh. The waffle w strawberry/choc syrup was also not fresh or made from scratch, I imagine. Tasted like a very plain, flavorless waffle. The choc/strawberry syrup I’m certain was Hersheys squirted into little plastic cups. The chicken & waffle was the same waffle I just described. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese, she had the mac and cheese with pulled pork, and we had loaded nachos for an appetizer. The BBQ sauce uses a vinegar base which happens to be our favorite and it definitely didn't disappoint. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Parking can be a bit hard to find but a good tip is to park on the lot off of 6th ave behind Shuckers and Coal River Coffee Company (both is those are excellent as well) and you can walk up C St and come out almost directly across from The Tap. Read morei just got a skillet cookie with ice cream and a blue moon and i will be back at this restaurant, i visited last saturday (8/16/2025) and i want to visit this saturday (8/23/2025) and try other food and drinks. also this place is clean and has awesome service... yeah yeah yeah.
skillet cookie with ice cream was very very flavorful and was at an awesome price of three dollars and the blue moon beer has to be the best beer i have ever tried in my life even though this is not a brewery or the brewery that makes blue moon, they do have blue moon on draft and it was 1,099 times better than johny bootlegger that i bought from one stop in poca. yeah yeah yeah... i can't wait for the next visit... yeah!
