If I could leave a Zero Star I would. Just an all-round disappointing experience. I came in on Monday, September 25 to order a gold blank for a custom wedding band and was told it would be in store in a “couple” of days. I informed the gentleman working that I would need it ready by the 5th of October, and was insured that was very possible. After not receiving a call by Friday, Sept 29 I called to check on the status of the order and was told that he “received a ring that he didn’t think would work and had another on order that should be here by Tuesday”. After not receiving a call on Tuesday I visited the shop that evening and was told that he didn’t like the one that came in, and that another would be in on Friday, Oct 6. I reminded him that I needed it by the 5th…I then proceeded to order a simple gold band and was informed it would in by Thursday the 4th. I’m leaving this review on Oct 14…and still have not received a call that the ring is in. The wedding has come and gone and a ring was purchased from another establishment. Over all…. 1) Absolutely horrible communication from this establishment. 2) The original request was for a custom band, not an ordered “generic” band. 3) If it was a job that couldn’t be finished in the asked for time frame he should have just said so in the...

Allen's is a true gem in the valley. Very polite, nice man that will work with you and help you out and one the best guys I've ever met..my whole family goes to Allen's.update on 10/28/22 even better than was before..must try Allen's for jewelry and repairs,also cleaning service and Allen also pays more than any pawn shop around for gold.UPDATE:2/4/23 HAD 2 NECKLACES REPAIRED BY ALLEN THAT I THOUGHT WAS A WASTED CAUSE BUT ALLEN PULLED HIS MAJIC AND I HAVE 2 SAME AS NEW NECKLACES THAT COST ME ALOT WHEN GOT NEW,SO ALLEN SAVED ME ..YOU GOTTA CHECK HOM OUT HE'S NEAR KFC AND BESIDE DOLLAR GENERAL IN ST ALBANS BEHIND GOMART. I can’t say enough good things about Mr Allen and his business. He is an amazing goldsmith to say the least. There is nothing he can’t repair and it’s always better than it was made. He repaired a bail on my large cross necklace yesterday and it will last forever! His ring sizing is on point and you can never tell it’s been done unlike other jewelers.
