New York Gyro 3rd Street — Restaurant in St. Cloud

Blaaaa... I ordered a fish meal that tasted like it was cooked in grease that was 10 years old and that's a shame because I physically seen those guys cleaning that place when we were there late at night so I was impressed to see them clean physically moving things cleaning under them machines seeing them white things off and even get new rag when the first one's got dirty... and so hats off to the guys working night time is this meal was pretty disgusting definitely not something I could finish eating. Walked in and the guy behind the counter where you order had his feet up. Slowly got up and was less than enthused to take my order. Was made to feel like I should've known what they had and how to order. Overall impression, rude and unprofessional. Disappointed that they don't shave the meat off of the rotating spike. The meat was cubed up and in a metal cambro on the line. The meat cubes were extremely large and dry. Large cubes of meat don't fit well at all into a gyro, nor are they easily eaten. My understanding is that gyro meat is supposed to be shaved, thin. ... not cut into large cubes. I felt rushed as if he was hurrying to put his feet up again. Very happy! We chose to cater a party for 100 people, and NY Gyro was a solid choice, 100%. I first contacted this restaurant via email for pricing. I received a timly responsef from the manager. We then visited to try the food. Delicious. The store was clean, the workers were kind and attentive. Hot foods were hot, the salad toppings very fresh. The manager came and me met with us when we decided that this was the food we wanted. Prices were fair. The catered food was fresh and delicious. Our guests enjoyed falafel, chicken, lamb, rice, pita breads, fresh yummy salad and lots of sauces. The manager even followed up the next day to check in with us. Great service, highly recommend.
