the person behind the counter at the time of our order was very condescending when it came to us telling her the size of our drinks. my sister got a small and she said ‘so the 12oz’ with a face and laughed.. when i ordered i said i’ll get the same thing but a large then she said ‘so the 16 oz’ and i said yes then as i was looking at what pastry i wanted she held the cup in front of me and said ‘this is the 16oz’ and i said yes then added a pastry. as somebody whose lived in st helena my whole life customer service needs to be top tier especially in napa valley and for the price that’s paid at this chain.. wouldn’t come back again to be honest. the customer service is better from gott’s chain at the station. to top it off our drink wasn’t even called by name and it was just sitting there for 10 minutes when the guy at the big center table with his daughter got served his stuff to his seat.. call it a race thing as the only mexican people in a room full of white people or not but we won’t be...

Natasha at Sam General Store is truly wonderful! Every time I stop by, she greets me with such warmth and kindness. She always goes above and beyond in making sure my coffee and food orders are perfectly made or carefully packed to-go, and I really appreciate her attention to detail.

The food and drinks here are fantastic! Love their pastries and empanadas. For drinks, the chai latte and strawberry matcha with cold foam are my all-time favorites.

The shop itself has great vibes, plenty of seating, and strong WiFi, making it a perfect spot to study, get work done, or meet up with a friend for coffee.

The main feature of this place is the space. Super spacious, great place to come to read, study or have meetings while drinking coffee. Drink offerings are great but the food is a little bit underwhelming, seems Sam's is a franchise in the area, so all the food is kinda premade somewhere else.
