I've heard extremely great things about this place but I've only been here once - and that too to only purchase one single Veggie Burrito during the pandemic, when the restaurant itself is closed for indoor dining. It was a good burrito - but it was too oily for me and contained way too much of a single vegetable group (capsicum) than I liked. I would have preferred a well balanced medley of veggies but I got a concentrated bell pepper burrito that was freshly prepared - it was hot to the taste buds. What makes it special is the quality of the food, the actively engaged owner, his friendly efficient staff, and the charming artwork from his children from when they were little (they’re grown now) and other patrons’ kids under glass at each table. The carnitas tacos at Villa Corona in St. Helena are decent, but not quite the standout I was hoping for. The flavor was good, with tender meat, but they felt a bit basic compared to other places that really elevate their carnitas. The tortillas were a little on the dry side, and I think they could use a bit more seasoning or sauce to make them pop.
