Alright, the quality of the food taste wise is good. The portions are a bit small and still standard food truck sizes but have not been adjusted to what one may expect from a brick and mortar restaurant. If you are charging $13-$15 for a single dinner entree that primarily uses rice as the side then you better make the portions make sense for that. The bowls are probably the best deal here at $10.

My household primarily does takeout and we eat at home. The packaging is appropriate and you don't have to worry about leaks.

Out of two orders my house has put in one of the orders was wrong. In a recent order we had, I ordered one size of the boiled peanuts (that was $4) and received the $2 order. I attempted to contact the restaurant to get a refund or some sort of recompense and instead was treated to a back and forth conversation with someone arguing about online menu descriptions and semantics. 3 emails (at 6 am on a Saturday morning no less) both directions and I still don't have my $2 back.

Looking at some of the owner responses I see some back and forth on reviews in general as well. I would say that they have an issue with criticism and treat these things like debates when it's just some people giving feedback. Best response is adjusting practices (if/when necessary), not having an online argument. Reviews don't always necessitate responses from the owner either.

Despite this place being walk able for us and the food actually being good, we just won't go back again. My star rating is based on the customer care experience, portion size, and 50% mistake on our orders; in that order...

What can I say about this unique place. Well the layout of the actual restaurant was very clean and modern. Very hawaiianness themes. Although I must say, the restaurant itself is snuggle closely and a South City neighborhood . It is cozy, but to be quite frank Parking is absolutely terrible. You have to battle with the residents of the neighborhood for parking and most of the times you'll probably have to park down the street and commute to the restaurant. As far as the food, the food was interestingly, well prepared, unique and taste, and quite flavorful. Although the portions do leave something to desire, I would give the food ate out of 10 on a scale rate. However, the customer service does need work. Some of the employees look bored and were lounging around. The restaurant is though they had nothing to do. Awkwardly staring at patrons as they either picked up their food or eight. Don't get me wrong. The employees do their job. But there's no vigor or component of servicing to the customers while they're doing it. You since a undertone of a burden that you're putting on them by asking them questions. They are friendly but they are not cheerful at all. Overall, with the experience and the taste of the food, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The best times to visit would probably be throughout the week while the people who live in the neighborhood are at work. Better chances for parking. I also recommend to order online, pick your food up and dine at home. You'll have a much better experience with the meal and the...

I really like this place. I had been wanting to try the for a while. I live about 25 minutes away, so I was just waiting for the opportunity. Finally, I was in South City working, and I persuaded my coworker to try it for lunch. Everything was great! The beef was so tender and flavorful, and the fried rice was a hit, not a fan of mac salad, but it was at the party also. Needless to say, we both really liked it. Got home and told my wife about it, and we put it on our hit list. Our schedules are really tight, so it was almost 2 weeks before we were able to go. We get there one night for a late dinner as usual smh and once again good vibes, nice and clean, just a great experience. We took our food Togo because it was about 7:30 when we arrived. We both got the steak plates and fried rice. When we got home, the steak was 100% like jerky and no flavor. The pineapples were cut very thin compared to the lunch visit. Fried rice was still good, but that's not why I went. Wife said never again and I agreed. More than likely I'll give it another chance though. Consistency is very important. If it's late, then just say you're out of steak for the night before selling hard working people...

A Delicious Local Gem for Hawaiian Cravings I was seriously craving Hawaiian food and was stoked to find this little spot nearby. I started with the musubi and shumai—both hit the spot, but the musubi especially stood out. It was a generous portion and packed with flavor. For my main, I went with a mixed plate of tonkatsu chicken and kalua pork. The pork was tender and flavorful, and while the chicken was a bit overcooked, it still had a nice crunch. The pineapple garnish was a great touch and added a bit of brightness to the plate. What really impressed me is that everything is handmade with care, and they’re committed to using biodegradable containers whenever possible. You can really feel the love they put into the food and their values. From humble food truck beginnings to a full brick-and-mortar, this place is absolutely worth checking out. Come support local, eat well, and go green! 🌎

Tried this for the 1st time from their food truck. I got 2 thin pieces of steaks & 2 little cuts of chicken. Neither had flavor. They were grilled nicely but no seasoning. I paid $3 extra for fried rice which some parts were clearly still plain white rice..again so seasoning although the description said its made with a sauce...I didn't taste anything so I had to add sauce to it, just like I had to add additional sauces to the meat. The mac salad just tasted like mayo...again no seasoning. The only thing that I enjoyed somewhat was the Hawaii banana nut bread..I may try them again but at the restaurant, not the food truck. I'm disappointed because the meal was $23 and honestly was not worth it.
